Normals calls from me to my Mom is the USA sometimes show up with this number due to the VOIP routing I use.  One the other hand, it can show up at other times too. SImply put, this number can show up from various different callers who use VOIP services.

This can be in two ways, either for good or bad. The simple explanation is that the number, is a computer generated number through the internet. This is applicable most of the time to internet phone users through VOIP "Voice Over Internet Protocol" they make calls with. In a quest for cheaper phone service, i signed up for an internet phone number, then i called my assigned internet number, with my usual mobile phone and guess what i see on my pc screen while it was ringing is 409-822-6712. I believe that does not make me a scammer trying to scam my self, but its just one of the loop holes in the perfect internet service we use. Its a default internet generated number. In other to discover how it really work, i realize it shows me as anonymous and later displays 409-8226712on default.

Collection Agency, using VOIP numbers to show they are from other states. They might not be licensed to do collections in your state, so they call in using a VOIP number from another state. Not that it will work for them, but hoping to fool you.

This is a generic phone number that IPKall.com display on behalf of their clients. Who are the clients? Those who use VOIP forwarding services from them. So it could be anyone really.

A call came to my Mom's cellphone but the caller ID showed a sipphone (SIP) number, not a PSTN number. Further investigation revealed 1-409-822-6712.  Mysterious.

Blank Voice mail for 1 second.

This just a computer generated number that means nothing.
It means they are calling from an "Internet Phone".
The system just creates a number that does not ever reflect where the call is coming from.

This is Staples Business Credit that will call if you applied for a business account; could be used by other Companies where you applied for a Business Account.

Nigerian spammer

As everyone else says it's a 419 scammer. Be sure to waste his time as much as possible.

Agree that is a internet phone number... My google voice number rang with this number and it was an old lady asking for Julieta...

Good for you to recognize who is sending these calls!!  They are scammers and computer criminals 419 scams. Stay away from them unless you like to play their games and reverse it on them and waste their time. Hopefully cost them some money and keep them from scamming unsuspecting folks???

This is a number you will get if you call someone in the U.S from outside the U.S, this basically means it could be anyone on the entire planet.

They are calling from a VOIP number. The last time I was called by this number, it was a 419 scammer. Google "Advance Fee Fraud" for more information.

I got a few calls from 1-409-822-6712 on my office phone.

First time I picked up the phone and told the person it is bad time to talk to me. He called again after a few hours. I did not pick-up the call. The caller left a voice mail.

The voice mail was left by some business organization (I could not catch their name). The caller identfied his name as Alex Well (so I think) and his company name. The voice mail message tried to sell me a local business listing which would apprear on the top of a google search page. He left a call back number 1-877-490-5185.

I did not call back. The person called again. I saw the caller id and before I do anything he hung-up and momentarily called again. This time his caller ID showed as "Unknown Caller". I picked up the call and spoke to him. I told the caller that I do not sell anything on the internet and not to call me again. It is waste of his time. I just hope he wont call again.

Call came into answering service number. Slammed me 3 times in 1 hour.  It advises you to call 1-800-843-0460 x 163 and mention her message.  So, give Paul a call at that number and find out what slamming service he is using, how you didn't expect messages and you want the number of the contractor under 16 USC s 3370 et al.  Should be fun.  Give them a taste of their own bile.

This is one of the proxy numbers that VOIP provider IPKall uses.

We received 3 calls from 409 822 6712 to different people and phone numbers.
The first a return call from a doctor we where expecting.
Second a fax from the same doctor's medical group
Third to a different phone number and for a different person from Wachovia bank about a car loan.
All calls reported a caller Id number of 409 822 6712 but I know 2 of them must of originated locally from the 760 area code.
What does this mean????

Try to google "Sean Bradley" email address and see what you get. Singles site are full to the brim with scammers.

Can you give me details of what you mean, I met someone on a singles site & he inadvertently gave me this number when he was confirming a number i had given him.Any information on him (Sean Bradley) would be appreciated, before i become anymore involved with him.

Someone i met on a singles site (Sean Bradley) inadvertently gave me this number thinking it was mine , ie he was confirming the number that i gave him & he got it wrong.Does this mean he is being hounded by a collection agency? This number is being used by scammers to try to contact their victims.

this is a collection agency that keeps calling my number`looking for someone that does not exist within my company. They are out of Beaumont,Texas.
