He is now posting on craigslist in NY under the name Dennis J Callan. I did a property tax research after I received the same exact email, only with a different address and he stated that he was relocating to Nebraska, the address he gave is under someone else's name who still owns the property. The property is $832/mo with a $500 deposit.

This is a total scam! I just talked to the real estate agent. They informed me that this is a scam and that TERRY ENGLUND is NOT the owner of this home!! I was looking to rent a home and looked on craigslist. This guys was demanding a deposit of $300 be sent to his wife-JUANITA SAYERS in TN- via western union and at that time he will send me the keys. Also  stating that they are God fearing people. States that he had to relocate to TN because of his work. Same male using a different name. BE CAREFUL!! CRAZY!!

My husband emailed davidfariello@yahoo.com regarding a 3br- 2800ft house listed on gulfport MS craigslist on Feb 3 2013 and got the same exact email reply as above.
The ad has perfect grammar (unlike the email ) and has photos of the inside of the house as well. The address is 557 E. 2nd Street Pass Christian MS.
This property is actually for sale for $299.000 as seen on realtor.com current as of 15 mins ago which is stated on their site.

I got the exact same message on 1/26 the email i received was the exact same.  I couldnt believe it when he said i would have to send him money first to get the key, i knew it had to be a scam!!
I hope no one falls for it!

I haven't called this guy yet but he is trying to rent 53 Leader Drive in Newark DE for $700 per month. Claims he has relocated with his family etc. Wanted money before I saw the inside of the property. I am attaching his initial email to me. His initial email was "nice" then the next ones just asked about making a deposit sight unseen. Does not have good email grammar. Please see below:

'Terry Englund' is trying to rent MY house that I have listed for sale on the internet. Called the number after a family showed up at my house to move in. Man claims we have the wrong number and doesn't speak much english.

He is trying to rent a house in crossgates for 700. Wanted money without a contract

Is this person using this number to try to rent out homes that are not for rent.  He is a total scammer
