Caller said he was with Bank of America Credit Dept. He wanted to verify my credit card for a line of credit increase. I would not give him any information so he told me to call 800-803-9731. After chating with Bank of America online, was told not to call that number but was given a different number for the credit dept.

This is a Bank of America Debt Collections call.
Don't answer it. They want money for back payments on credit cards you have with them.

I got a call from this number. They claimed that they are calling from BOA. wanted to confirm my details. I thought it is not a legitimate number of BOA. I called them on the same number. The message I got is that "This number is a non existing number". That confirms that the caller is not a legitimate caller.

That is Bank of America. They acquired MBNA in 2006. I don't blame you for not giving your info but if it makes you feel better, it is a legitimate number for BOA.

Claimed they were from Bank of America although caller ID said MBNA marketing. Wanted to verify information about my credit card. Told them I wasn't going to do that to an unsolicted call and hung up. Very shady
