Identical to Syirrus. Wanting me to renew car warranty, which they can't even tell me the make and model of, maybe because I don't have an existing warranty. Have asked to be removed from call list 3 times, to no avail. Last time they simply hung up on me.

Wanting to know if I would like to renew warranty on my car. When I call the number back, it says it has been disconnected. The recording does allow you to press "1" to be connected to someone. That someone ended up hanging up on me when I politely told them to stop calling me.

i just got called by these people on my landline yesterday (i hung up on them - my caller ID said Out of Area without as phone number) and again on my cellphone today. this time the number showed up. i tried to push 1 to get a person but it just rang and rang. i got here by googling the number; when i called them back it said the number was disconnected. these fly-by-night scam artists have probably moved on. i am on the permanent do-not-call list.

I received a mass mailing about renewing a service warranty on my 10 year old truck a couple of weeks ago. I bought it used so it never had a warranty. So I threw it out and soon there after the calls started coming in on my cell phone. I never answered the them and no one left a voice mail message. I did a reverse look up for the number and found a listing for several residences in Havre de Grace and Aberdeen. Thanks to all who have previously posted because it really cleared up what is going on with this number.

Well supposedly they spoof CID so the ANI I gave you guys for the home phone number *may* be some innocent couple that has had their old ANI used as the spoofed number. So maybe I wasn't 100% positive, whatever. Either way, here is the *REAL* 888 number for the company, not the do-not-call list number. This will take you to their main location and ask for an extension. Have fun.

There has been at least 2 comments made here by "Tom" and "Gottem" that list peoples nubers, etc in reference to the Associated Dealer Services of America SCAM. My question is for them are you sure that these numbers are the peoples responsible or in ties with the SCAM calls? And if so, what has your responce been if you got a hold of them?
| Dustin 2011-06-06 20:48:22 Unknown |
ASS-ociated Dealer of America = SCAM!!! They are told to hang up when “customers” request their number to be taken off their list. This is HARRASSMENT because they do not take your number off their list – they LIE, and if you do get a hold of them you must trick them by acting like your half way interested in their SCAM which then if you ask for their number they LIE again by giving you the National do not call Registry. They also LIED by telling me that thier supervisor is tied up with another customer bit (everytime). This is an outrage!

I want to thank everyone for all the useful information on this number. I was called for the first time yesterday at 11:21 p.m., my time (I have a VoIP number and don't even LIVE in the United States right now!), but was not home to receive it; no message was left. Now that I know who it is, I plan to take most of the actions recommended by the other contributors to this site.

Received call on my cell on 4/21 @ 1:46 PM but did not answer. Message left on my voice mail was a kind of clicking sound.

Oh, these people are really making me mad! I answer two phones at my desk at work and another phone at someone else's desk for their lunch break. All three phones get these calls. Everytime I ask that my place of business (a city municipality) be taken off thier call list I get hung up on! Today I finally got the chick to at least play along with me. When I asked for the phone number of the company Associated Dealer Services of America she gave me 1*888*382*1222. It's the number for the National DO NOT CALL Registry. I told her that this was bordering on harrassment and they were hindering official city use of the phone. I think I scared her a little but probably not enough to have her actually take this business off the calling list.

got the same call twice in a row today. the first time they called I was on the other line, im assuming they recognized that and therefore called back. Im upset now because after reading the comments above I realize it was clearly a scam. I really hope they call back again today so i can play along and see if i can accomplish anything productive. good luck to all in the future

Have been receiving this call about two years ago for a period of about three weeks. They would call upward of five times a day. Finally after telling them over and over again to stop calling me, they did. Today they called back for the first time in two years. I didn't recognize the number till I did this online search. The 888 number posted in the comment by "Jack" on 16 April 2008 will take you to the national DO-NOT-CALL registry, not to the entity responsible for the call. I have also filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and will wait to see what happens in the future.

I got this call and they claimed that my warrenty was about to expire on my car . It sounded like a scam as my car is 10 years old and hadn't been under warrenty for 7 years, so I hung up!!! I would just like to know how they can get my cell phone number that isn't listed anywhere?
| Steve 2011-06-06 20:48:22 Unknown |
I got a call at 11:45 AM (EDT). It rang twice then said that I missed the call. I tried to call back but disconnected. I went to a search engine and found this site.
I hope that they do not try to call again. What can be done to make it stop?

I own an old car with many miles on it. Why would I want insurance?
I want my cell phone number taken off of their list.

Received call on my cell phone. Did not answer as I was on a call. When I later called back, recording says "this number has been disconnected." Wonder how they called me from a disconnected phone? Or, have they designed a way to make a different phone number appear?

Your number was, no doubt someone else's number previously, so it doesn't matter than you haven't given it out. It may be already out there. I would do some googleing to see if it pops up elsewhere. I have a private (unlisted) number for several years. At first we got calls for the previous #'s owner (who apparently were Hispanic...so when they find out we are not, they usually hung up and didn't call back, fortunately.) I was involved in a car accident a few months back and then started getting these calls. So now I wonder if my number got picked up by public records. When anyone asks for my phone number, unless it's essential they know it--and most often it's not, I make up a number or reverse a couple of the numbers.

Tubby is a scumbag competitor from National Dealer Services from St. Louis that uses the wording Auto Warranty Specialists. Http://www.warranties4wheels.com or http://www.warrantiesforwheels.com does not use an auto dialer, is in AZ and does not condone this or the scam emails and mailings that are sent out to the public. Only a dirt bag would give out personal information on someone. If you want quality coverage at the best rate call us please. 1 866 352 4999. Thanks.
