The organization that the FOP uses to raise money for them have very obnoxious people working for them. They need to hire someone more professional. I don't appreciate not having them listen to what I am saying. If I have to listen to their ramblings, they should have to honor my request to remove my name from their 'hit list'. I will never send the FOP another dime as long as they solicit with this company.

This call was ID'd as Out Of Area. nothing more.  I'm not surprised it's the Fraternal Order of Police.  My number is unlisted, and yet the cops -- and only the cops -- have been using it for fundraising calls for years.  If this isn't a violation of the law, it should be.  Disguising the Caller ID is a dishonest act that speaks for itself.

These jerks call every nite but I never answer as caller ID does not identify.  Of course they don't LMOM.
So...now I know they are scammers I will have some fun at their expense!  Get your whistles and horns out and blow hard into the receiver next time!   Maybe if we all do it they can loose their hearing!!!

This number calls all the time.  My husband called it back.  The guy just said "hello".  Then said he was with Fraternal Order of Police.  Tried to have us donate money before sending out the "package of information".  My husband said "I don't feel comfortable donating before seeing any paperwork.  This could be a scam".  The guy didn't try to assure us that it wasn't a scam.  He just said, "Ok, maybe you can help us out with the next drive."   We think IT"S A SCAM, so I reported it to the police!!!!!

I think it's actually a collection attorney, using the FOP name as a front so you will call them back.

I got a call last on 06/01/2013 at 9:51a.m. I want them to stop harassing me. They never leave a message I just look at the caller I.D and by the way leave me the hell alone. When a person don't answer after a couple times that means they are not going to answer, the phone company should be held responsible for this foolishness.

I call it back every time it calls me.  It's always some man who answers so I hang up.  Is there some law against their nuisance calls daily?

They've called my house 5 times in the past 2 weeks.....including each of the last 3 days.  Next time they call they are getting ferociously cussed out. That's ridiculous.

This is the 3rd or 4th call and they do not leave a message.  The one time I picked up, no one answered.

These people call constantly as "unknown caller" & when you call back, they won't tell you who they are.  They answer the phone "hello" (no business name).  I told them not to ever call my # again & they were irate.  I told him I am on the do not call registry & he was not only invading my privacy, but harassing people.  He acted like the call was being recorded.  I told him I hoped it was so he didn't forget my irate voice.  They are up to no good!

Got a call and claim to be fundraiser for the police.  They want to send me a support kit and their donations start at 20 to 35.  Which kit did I want to send out?  
Told them no, he ignored it and told him no again.

This number calls my house line at least 3-4 times a week. I'm never home when they call and they never leave a voicemail. I'm on the DNC list but from reading previous comments, that doesn't matter.

I called this number back and it was the Fraternal Order of Police-State of Maryland, the call is being  recorded and there is a crazy delay when listening and responding. I decided to hang up as I was not comfortable it was a valid fundraising event.  The number has called my home every day since late March but not message was ever left.

This phone number has called my house 5 times in April.  On two occasions I answered and was told that it was a Veterans organization.  Both times I told them to put me on their Do Not Call List.  Today I called back to scream at them and the phone was answered "Fraternal Order of Police".

These guys always call when I'm not home and they never leave a message.  I get a notification on my iPhone when a call comes in and every day without fail around 10AM I get the call.  The name on the caller id says "Chesapeake Bay" and then the number.

they just won't stop calling my fax line.   Obviously, it's a fax line, they would know that as soon as the machine picks up, but they just keep calling it, and calling it, and calling it....

Just got a call from them again!    (I returned the call blocker because it was a piece of junk.)    

It seems as if this local Maryland number is being used by multiple organizations for solicitation purposes...the Fraternal Order of Police and a Veterans Organization.

Keeps calling, asked them not to call.

Reverse searched said its a VoIP number from Baltimore area.   Blocked it.   Called on my unlisted number.    Random dialer.

Yep.  You'll get about a buck fifty each and the lawyers will score millions..

DNC, no DNC, it doesnt matter, it is 100% illegal to robo-call ANY, REPEAT ANY CELL PHONE! Federal law! does not matter if its political, fund raiser, charity, mickey mouse drunk dialing, its illegal, there are several class action law suites right now, so google it, chances are you will be included in at least one of them!

Whether or not the fundraiser has DNC exempt status depends on the type that they are.  1st party non-prfit fund raisers are mostly exempt from the DNC.   3rd party fundraisers are not.    The FOP rarely does their own fundraising.   Most of the time it is through a 3rd party Telemarketer who is paid a profit to make the solicitation calls.  They are of course subject to the dnc.   Once you tell them to cease,  they must do so  or they can be fined  $16,000 by the FTC.    I believe that the purpose for recording is more to keep the callers in line than the called because of this.   Regardless,  they must stop calling if you request it as does any 1st party.   The only difference being that the 3rd party must cease immediately and the 1st party has 30 days.  One thing to keep in mind also is just because they are considered non-profit,  does not mean that they are considered exempt under the DNC...   Lots of good reading on the DNC/FTC  for that rainy Sunday afternoon when there is nothing else to do and no good leftovers in the refridgerator...

Received a call from this number from man claiming to be with the Fraternal Order of Police.  They said the call was being recorded and began a spiel about a fundraiser.  If it really was a police fundraiser, I don't think they would need to say the call was being recorded. It seemed like a scare tactic to get people to first listen and then to gain trust to donate. In my case, it made me even more suspicious. I asked him to take me off of their list and that was it. In the past, I received calls like this, and they just kept coming even though we're on the do not call list.

They called at 8:58 PM on sunday night.  there was nobody on the other end.

Just got a call from them and they were the first number to get blacklisted on my new call blocking device.   I hope it works!
