That's one of the drawbacks for having good credit. I have been plagued by these a**holes for years until I got a CALL BLOCKER. There are a few types you can buy. Costing between $80.00 - $120.00. They are similar to a caller ID. You connect your main phone line to the input and then connect the rest of the house phones to the output. When you block a number, the phones won't even ring. It still will keep a record of all incoming and outgoing calls. I giggle like a little girl every time it works. lol
Ps I bought one that has a second output for an answering machine to catch the blocked calls. The message I put on this answering machine was, ?HELLO, HELLO, please speak louder, I?m having trouble understanding you ???. OK, that?s better ??... Wait a moment while I get my coffee ?????????? Are you still there? HELLO, HELLO?. This takes up THEIR time and supplies me with more giggle juice, lol

Thank goodness for CallerID. Saw the "Public Assist" and let it ring. No message left. i seem to get as many junk calls as I ever did. What good is the "Do Not Call List"? Ticks me off!

Telemarketer asked for id numbers off the BGE bill and announced they could indeed save me money. When I asked for specific rate information it turned out the new rates were higher than what I pay now. Then she hung up.

This group claims they can lower your electric bill, and they have called on both my lines in the past 2 days, but I do not believe it is a legitimate group.

Got a call from this number. It was labeled Public Assist. Odd. I don't answer any number I don't know. If it is legit, then they will leave a message. They didn't so will never answer their number.
