A telemarketer named Harry tried to convince me that I spoke with them a month earlier and requested a loan application.  After five minutes of me insisting that he was either lying or mistaken he got hostile and hung up the phone.  I have recived at least 1 call a week from this number--sometimes 3 calls a day.  They refuse to honor "DO Not Call" requests.

Caller did not respond when I picked up. I am on the do not call list.

Same call as everyone above. The "National Do Not Call List" is good for 5 years then you have re-register you're phone number. I did not know this.

We have had multiple calls from this number every day for the last six month and we do not know how to stop this.

keep getting calls from this number at least a dozen times a day when i answer the caller hangs up...very annoying

have called about ten times today, starting at about 11:30, and it is only 1:00 p.m. now.  Told them not to call on their 2nd call today, went out for errands, and when I came back, about 8 more hits on the caller ID.

I have received at least a dozen calls, or more from this number. All calls have been about Home Mortgage refinance. The last time they called, I got a name of Ray Pearson and the name of the company they represented was First American Mortgage Finance Co. , which I think is bogus.
Is there any way we can shut these people down?

I like to have fun with them.......waste their time.....I string them along giving them a bunch of bogus info and after about ten minuets I start to ask them real personal questions and freak them out...they have not called since

we never pick up thi snumber, but they just kept calling and calling, very annoying, no message ever left.  I need a way to stop them calling my house

Caller ID just says, "Maryland".  These people calls constantly, and want the "head of the household".  Asked for me by name once as well.  Have advised them we are on the national and state do-not-call registry, but they say they don't have a copy of that.  When I tell them to stop calling, they just say they'll call back tomorrow.  Today, the man said he would call back in five minutes, and he did.  How blatantly harassing is that?  I believe the same company poses as "New York: 516-845-7777", "Florida: 561-561-5615", "New Jersey: 856-985-6256", as well as the names of several other states.  They are usually selling mortgage services.

they have been calling me daily , twice a day for a week now.  When I answer, they hang up.  When I try to call back, I either get a busy signal, or a message that says"The nextel customer you are trying to reach is not in service at this time."  I called Nextel(now sprint) and they said it was not a number in ther service.  I looked it up on intellius and on their free portion it says the phone originates in Schenectady NY

this happened to me too. the male with an indian accent (occasionally it's a female doing the calling) kept calling and asking for the owner of the house. I told them I wasn't on the mortgage market and asked them to remove my number from their calling list. I asked for them to stop calling for at least 10 times. They finally stopped. Not sure if they simply change the caller id from 410-410-4104 to 561-561-5615.

How can we stop these irritating people?

This number in on my answering machine at least 4 times a day. If I'm at home I usually don't pick up and  just let it ring. The person doesn't leave a message. Today my daughter happpened to be here so she answer and the person asked to speak to the owner of the house, then hung up.
I would like to find out how to stop these people and I registered with no call list and apperently it is not working.

Calls several times a day will not stop no mater what we tell him.

I would get calls from this number multiple times a day. If I answer, someone would hang up on me. If I let the answering machine get it, this is what would happen:
ring-answering machine-click-ring-answering machine-REPEAT.

This is VERY irritating.
I have a suspicion that this phone number is also linked to 561-561-5615 (notice the same format?), which does the exact same thing.

this caller will call 20 times a day ever at nighte about 10 pm it get on my nevers i want them to stop callin me pleseas

Man called 5/25/07 and my wife answered. Caller asked for man of the house. Was told not home, will call back later. Unidentified female called 5/26/07 from American Mortgage. Told to take me off their call list. She hung up.

This guy just started calling my house and when i answered he asked "Am I speeking to the head of the house?" I told him he was not and he just hung up on me. He didnt even ask for the head of the household and had never left a message when he had called before.

It does not matter if you issue threats back at this person. That "Do not call list" has failed the system and this one indvidual knows it. Because he admits to it in the phone conversation. Keeps asking for the home owner to refinace. Which is nothing short of a well created scam and VOIP free calling on his part.

this man calls MANY times each day.  and on the occasions when i answer the telephone, he always asks "to speak with the owner of the house."  when i ask him to PLEASE remove our number from whatever list he has, he hangs up.  what is wrong with this man??!

nice knowing i'm not being "singled out," and that this is occurring at other residences.  at least i don't have to be paranoid; just annoyed.

This "person" keeps calling every single day and will not leave a message, they usually call during the day when no one is at home, i did receive a call from this "person" one time i ignored the call and didn't answer, a few minutes later another call, the calls kept ringing more frequently, so i decided to answer it, but not to say "hello?", i simply said "who are you and why do you keep calling here?", he responded "hi maam, are you the owner?"  he started to call back every minute or 2, after about the 5th call, i answered and said "YOU need to KNOCK it off, it is 9:00 at night, STOP calling here!"

The EXACT same thing happened to me on 5/16/2007, as what happened to Bee on May 14th 2007.  i asked the person who did not give their name, but was a male, sounded asian, "who are you and why do you keep calling here", that's when he said "are you the owner", he kept calling back every 1-2 minutes up until 9:00PM

These people have consistently called me since January 2007. I have repeatedly told them to put me on their Company Specific Do Not Call List.
In March I told them that what they are doing, (ignoring my requests), is against the law. I said, "Call here again and I will report you." So since April they have increased their calls to my home, but I'm usually not here to pick up. So I've had to try and keep my temper down & use my head. Today they called & I got the guy's name which is Brett Smith. He is calling from First American Company in Baltimore, Maryland. He would not give me a street address or phone number as he says it is a Call Center. I said, "This is not a good time for me and I was hoping to call you back." He said, "Your number has been chosen to get a good deal on Refinancing your
Mortgage. What would be best time to call you tomorrow?" And then he gave me a choice of morning, noon, or evening. After that I said, "Let me now be honest with you. I have asked repeatedly for you people to not call me and  to put me on your Company's Specific Do Not Call List. You are breaking the law & I told you people this back in March. Now I am reporting you."  So anyone else who is having trouble go to FCC.gov and report them. You will want to click on Telemarketing and then fill out Form 1088B. Make sure you keep a list of all the dates/times they have called you. You also need the name of the person, name of company, contact phone #, and address. They won't give # and address, but you can explain that on the Form. Good Luck All. We got to shut these people down. If you call this number back (410-410-4104) it will do you no good as it is dialing from a computer and the message you get is the number has been disconnected.
