I have filed dozens of DNC complaints on this caller (Medical Alert Scam) and many multiple complaints on others. Never ONCE have they stopped even one caller !

This program and the Federal agency (FTC) is a total  waste.

HOWEVER, it is still important to file these complaints in order t o DOCUMENT FTC's FAILURE to enforce the DNC  law, which is supposed to be their job. If you don't file, then they can blame it on YOU.

The only hope is to COMPLAIN TO CONGRESS (your House Reps. and Senators) about FTC. They control the funding and have to power to re-assign the enforcement elsewhere to an agency that can get the job done. You can do this by email.  If Congress gets enough messages about FTC's failure, they will act to improve this program.

"Free speech" applies to the government suppression of speech.  This board is privately owned, and I see that the webmaster agrees with me.

Abuse of the terms of service here is more akin to vandalism of private property than to an exercise of free speech.  If you want to post something that isn't allowed under the terms of service here or even just disliked by the webmaster/owner, then get your own freaking board or play in someone else's sandbox.

410-412-9103 - I have been receiving these calls for several months.  I don't understand why the phone company or the FTC cannot stop this, find the responsible person(s) and send them to the moon.  This is so annoying, it just keeps going on and on and on.

Just had the same thing - "John" is a recorded message, although it is recorded in a manner that makes it sound like he is a real person talking to you.  All you can do is hang up and move to Siberia and hope they don't find you there!

Another call from a Medic Alert company - John from the shipping dept wanting to send me a pre-paid device.  The last call was from a live person, this one was a recording.  This is very annoying.  I can see where it is going - if there even is a device, you would have to pay for someone to respond.  More likely they just want your information.

Please stop these scammers--please please please--they are driving me nuts!!!!

Received an unwanted call from this telephone number. A recorded message offering a free medic alert system.

Still getting phone calls from this number.  Heard this to be a scam on my local news on tv recently.  Hope they get this scammer or scammers.  Will be alot of this I understand with "Obamacare."

Get the same call daily anywhere between 8:30 am to 9:30 pm.  First it was 'John' now it's a woman's voice.  I get as many as 5 different telemarketers calling daily.  These scumbags prey on the elderly.

What happened with Do Not Call?  Did they go out of business.

This # calls ever now and it is a nuiscance - dont' know anyone in this area.

John has called me twice in the past week. As others said he talks regardless of what I say. Told him to tell me my name if I had bought this system and he said it was purchased by this number. So I asked him to tell me my number. Just kept talking. I told him 3 times to remove me from their calling list.

It most likely would take you to a $10 per minute 900 number and keep your phone connected an hour or two.  They have to make their money somehow.

Caller ID says Glen Burnie, Maryland. If you call back, there is a fake message saying the number is not in service. This is a scam. See:

The same as everyone else says, a guy who calls himself John trying to get your info for a medical alert device or something. Calls won't stop.

The calls just keep coming, and when you call back it says the number is not in service. Be VERY wary if you have elderly relatives who may not know to avoid this kind of call!

UNKNOWN NAME calls several times a week. Recorded message about free life alert gizmo. Can't get them to stop. Very annoying.
