I'm doing this because a friend of mine had his account hacked by these scammers.   He did not know it
And they had his list of friends, one of which was me.  They were contacting me pretending to be him
Wanted me to send money etc,
He got wise when all his friends started calling him.....at no time was I going to send money anywhere,
We all had to change our passwords.
Better safe than sorry.......if you don't know the number, don't answer, don't try to reason with them
All they want is your number.   When you answer, they don't talk because now they know its a working number and you will get many more calls.

All they want is a working phone number ...they then sell these numbers to other scammers
So then you get more calls.    They will try to get all your info
Rule of thumb.   Don't answer the phone, don't call back, don't try to speak to anyone, or press one or two , that just gives them more time.   If you went on Internet and gave them your info, I would change my password immediately!  
That's why no one speaks, they just want your number...or they will want a donation for fire dept, police charities,    they can say whatever they want.....the fire dept, police depot, reputable charities do not do this
It is a scam!     Don't answer them!

Now they have more of your info.  Including your email
These people are just scammers.  Don't call back, don't pick up phone.

I wouldn't do it.  Then they'll get more of your info.  You should not have to request not to be part of their survey..    It's a scam
Now days you can't be too careful

It doesn't work.  I went to their website after receiving a call and registered my phone number with them to the effect that I would like to be placed on their "do not call" list.  I just received another call from them.

This is from a survey company.  Their call came from Baltimore, MD.  I dialed *67 then their number.   Their msg said if you don't want any more calls from them to go to their website www.informationCNTR.com and request not to be part of the survey.  I haven't done that yet, so I.hope it works.

frequent calls from this number..........they don't let it ring long enough to go on ans. machine...............calling at various hours!

Phoned and left no message.
