This is a call from Shop NBC

I received a call from this number at 8am today. I didn't get to the phone in time but there was no message. I called the number and got a recording saying it was a "Charity" center or something like that. I also looked up the exchange and it is from Easton, MD.

Calls several times a day. Suspect that it is a check looking for vulnerable households

I rec'd a call from this number but did not answer.  When answering machine picked up, there was only heavy breathing on the other end.

I received a call from this number last night (which I hung up on as soon as the pre-recorded message was over) and again this morning.  I stayed on the line this morning, and the lady said that she was calling for the "American Breast Cancer Society" or something to that effect.  She explained that the organization helps raise money for women who can't afford to pay for mammograms.  She wanted me to commit to sending at least $20, but I told her that I could not commit to any amount without first discussing it with my husband.  She then said that that was fine, and that she would contact me again next week to see what we decided.  So, now I'm trying to find out what I can about this org. to see whether it's on the up and up...which is very questionable.

Received a call this morning, there was no response from the caller. I called this number back and it is from a fundraising call center that solicits money for multiple questionable charities. I am listed on the "Do Not Call" list but that does not seem to prevent this type of call or annoyance. I am reporting this nunber to Verizon as harassment and would encourage anyone who gets a call from this number to do the same.

I received one or two calls from 410-690-4437, but when I picked up the phone, there was no response from the caller. I presume it's a computerized dialing setup and they should understand that their calls may have woken someone up from sleep or interrupted the person's diner [Nwankama Nwankama]. It can certainly be annoying. So next time, if I see the number on my Caller-ID, I'll just ignore it.

I get calls from this # at lease once a day.  Never leave a message.  I'm tired of it.!

This number calls my house at least 4 times daily. I never pick up, but its very annoying.

I got a call from this number again last night.  I actually spoke to someone -- a woman identifying herself as being from the American Cancer Society soliciting money for poor women who cannot afford mammograms.  Before the caller finished her speech, the call was cut off -- though not by me.

I've been getting these calls as well.  I'm certain that it's probably something that is dishonest! If these calls continue, I'll contact the phone company to report this harassment.

I've been getting calls several times a day for at least a week. When I answer the phone I just get silence; if I don't, there's never a message. I've been pressing *57 (call trace) and I'm planning to report it to the phone company for harassment. I don't know that they'll care, but it's worth a try.

JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE CALLS RECEIVED 7 DAYS A WEEK SEVERAL TIMES A DAY. tAKING CARE OF A SICK SON 7 THESE CALLS ARE VERY ANNOYING. What can be done to to stop them.

Callers from this number 410-690-4437 are repeatedly calling my house.  When I answer, the phone clicks and the caller hangs up.  My caller ID say the name is "Not-Available).  When I called the number back which is long distance from my house, I get the recording "Thanks for calling our fund raising center.  Charities for women and children, blurb.  Left message on internal "do not call" with my phone number but not my name since they do not seem to know who I am anyway.

I receive this call also sometime several during a day for the last couple of weeks.  Did it work when you put your name and number on their interenal don't call list?  If not, did you report it to a federal agency and which one?  I would like to do the same thing.  Thanks

I received several Call a day from this number. It comes up on caller ID as unknown. When I picked the phone up, there was no voice on the other end, They just hung up the phone in my ear.

I received a call, I believe, maybe, even two calls, from the number 410-690-4437, but when I picked the phone there was no voice on the other end. I'm reading here that belongs to a "charity." Well, they should brish up their etiquette and stop annoying people [Nwankama W Nwankama].

I have several calls from this number.  But name comes up unknown.  So I never answer it until today.  But nobody was there.  So I called back to see who it was and it was answer machine.

They are calling me every day and after I pick up the phone there is silence for about 20 seconds and the do disconnect.
Sometimes it happens early morning.

Just called the number back, got a recording about them being a women and children's charity fund raising organization. They have an internal do not call list. You can leave your name, full spelling and phone number, including area code, after the beep and they will honor your request to no longer receive calls from them.  Lets see if this works.  What pests.  Comment regarding 'charity fund raising organizations': they usually take a huge cut of what they collect. If you choose to donate by phone ask them how much of your donation actually gets to the charity.  I tell them I prefer to donate directly so ALL of my donation goes to the charity.

Sheesh, calling my house too, all hours, every day, multiple times a day.  I  am going to see if I can block the number. Very annoying.  Actually, I think I may call them back first and see if someone answers on their end so I can tell them to take me off of their list.

They called once and asked for my wife (by name).  When informed that she wasn't home,the caller said she'd call back.  She did, two times that day, and each time I answered, they hung up without a word.  Caller ID ID'd them.  I called that number, and put my name and number on their "internal don't call list."  We'll see how well that works.  If it doesn't, I think I'll be calling an appropriate government agency, to file a complaint.  Being an agency that calls for charities may mean that the National Don't Call List doesn't apply, but I'll bet there's some kind of legal remedy for being harassed (multiple call-and-hang-ups)by phone.

This number called, let it ring once and hung up. Was curious who it was from since it is in the MD area and I have family there. Not in the 410 area, tho.
