Ooops!.  I picked up the phone without checking the caller id.  If I saw it sooner I would have let it ring.  I've gotten this phone call many of times and not picked up the phone.  Never any voice messages  Thanks to everyone posting about this for days is another reason why I let ring.

Your probably wondering what did I do after picking up.  Besides saying Ooops!  I said: "Hello".  There was a gentleman on the other end line who said he was calling for NSTAR, and he would like to speak to the person who handles the billing.  (I handle the NSTAR bills).  I told him to hold on a moment while I'll get that person.   He stayed on the line for eight minutes and hung up.

{I think we all should do this trick more often.  It takes up more of their time than ours, being placed on hold. }

I have also signed up for the Do not Call list.  (DNC = Lol)
We need a revision of laws on the land and cell phones, to stop harassment.

A guy was insisting on lowering my NSTAR bill. He told me to grab my bill and there was no better time to do it than now. I said I would call him back, but he was insisting. I got suspicious and hung up.

At first caller said nothing and then after a few minutes she said good-bye and hung up. She calls at least a few times a month. I looked up the # in the reverse directory and got 2 results. It's a land line from either Kingsville MD or Baltimore MD. I did not wish to pay the fee to get further info.

They kept calling my house when I was not home.
I called the number back and spoke with somebody and said to stop calling and that any company
that was continually harrassing me would never get my business even if it was a good deal.
You know what they say, "If it's too good to be true"...

Called claiming they could lower my electric bill if I'd read them information from it. Said they were "rep" energy, not my electric company. Couldn't answer questions about why their company would be doing this. Called more than once. Sounded like scam to get financial info.

Yes, same call offering to lower my NSTAR bill if I'd read her information from it--last Friday and today.First time I terminated the call, but today, I asked so many questions about her company (none of which she could answer) that she hung up on me finally.

I got the exact same call about NSTAR electric. Lady was very aggressive also, I started saying I don't want anything to do with this, she got mad and told me to "calm down". I believe it could be a scam, why would I go through another electric company? She wouldn't really explain what was going on. I hung up.

I got the same call today from a woman who described about lowering my bill and wanted me to find a NSTAR bill. I could not find and she said would call back later.

a woman from 410-698-4061 called about my NSTAR electric carrier. She wanted to know if I have taken advantage of the new de-regulation discount.
  I said I would speak to NSTAR, as the woman was calling from a different company in Maryland.  She quickly said "no you can't do it through them it has to go through us.  Just grab a copy of your bill and a pencil and I will tell you how." I said no and hung up.
  She immediately called back saying "We must have gotten disconnected.." I said "No I hung up" and she continued jabbering away like I said nothing, insisting that I get a copy of my NSTAR bill.  I hung up again.
Sounds very shady to me, and she was aggressive and called twice in a row.  Sounds like she wanted personal information instead of helping me get a 'electricity de-regulation discount'.
