Called my unlisted cell phone number, I answered the call and he said hi and started to say something else that I didn't quite understand and it disconnected like a dropped call. So I called it back thinking it might be something important but it won't connect or ring and hangs up almost as fast as it's dialed. All I can say about this is RUDE! If they were in fact trying to sell anything or scam anyone why the hell would they NOT answer the returning call? Just plain stupid if you ask me, and you can't fix stupid!

I got the same thing.  They called, I answer, they said hi and hung up.  I tried to call back but it said it was busy.  This just happened... do you think it's just a telemarketer?

Received a call from this number.  (410)709-8122.  Man on the other end said, "Hi", and then hung up.  I have been trying to call back for 15 minutes, but it either goes to busy signal or "your call did not go through"...

Got a call, they left a message saying they found a solution to lower my interest rate to 1.5% and that since I'm making the minimum payment anyway this would be ideal.  They left a call back number of 877-723-1419 to call back.  What a joke.

Got called from this number (just now) while I was at work. Called back and the number is said to not be a working number. Irritating.

Caller left a message: she pretends that she knows me and that we've talked "about decreasing my interest rates, and she's found a solution."  Obviously a ploy to get around saying this was an unsolicited phone call: even though I've never spoken to her (or anyone else for that matter) about decreasing my interest rates.  Hell, I don't even borrow money!  Pure cold-calling sales call.

Got a call from this number and it informed me my family and I had won some home security package....

I am on the no-call list and yet I still received a phone call from this number on my cell phone.  I didn't answer it though, as it was not a number I was familiar with.

Just got a call from this number today, 11/08/11 at 14:18. What sounded like a white male voice said "Hello?" and hung up.

Just got a call from this number on my cell.  When I answered a man said Hello and then hung up.

I called the number and it said to opt out press 2, then it said to restart press 2. I can't believe people don't have anything better to do. Wait a minute....... yes I can......but what is the point? Whoever you are GET A LIFE.

Got a call from this number and they left a message which the first part was cut off. It said something to the effect of refinancing something, and since I only make the minimum payments it would work very well for me. Obviously fishing since I don't make only the minimum payments on anything.

left a voice message a few minutes ago saying, I had been selected to receive a home satellite system. They did give the option of pressing 9 to be removed from their list.

I just got one, 11:59 ET. Did not answer. No message.

Got a call from this number 7 minutes ago. A man's voice said hi and then hung up. I texted it with no answer, and called it back and have reached a nonworking number. My iphone says its from Maryland, USA. This is annoying

I got a call from the 410-709-8122 and the person just said hello and it broke up and he hung up??  Not sure but if you do a reverse look up on anywho.com it says that phone number is linked to about 10 people in NY city?? weird... probably just phishing or trying to find a sucker on the other end of the line!!

they get paid to fish information for debt collectors that might have bought your old debt but don't have your new information. Most of it is outsourced thats why they hang up right away.

It seems, from the varied replies posted, it's a scam operation that is possibly in the beta testing phase, checking to see which numbers can get the phone-owner to enter prompts, in which I would expect it to call again if I had.

Look for parrallells.  Mine is an ATT served Android smart phone in Missouri.  Anyone else?
