Thank you to "trying" for the FCC info. and to everyone who found out who they are (Centurion or Emperion and that they're a marketing company for newspapers and cable companies) ... very helpful info.  I am on the National Do Not Call list, yet they've called 4x in the last week. Each time, they wait through my voice mssg greeting long enough to leave "messages" but they don't say anything. Just background noise and then "click." I've been on the DNC list for years and it does not expire (I just rechecked my number to be sure), so they are in violation unless they're doing a survey.  But to keep leaving "hang up" messages is ridiculous.

According to this, marketers have to check the list every 31 days and remove any numbers that are registered on the DNC list. If you have Comcast phone service, there are things you can do to limit unwanted calls:

1. Set up Call Screening (Selective Call Rejection). You can block up to 12 specific phone numbers: http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/phone/call-screening/

My phone blocks calls. I was so happy to discover this feature. Still, if you're on a no-call list it's illegal. At least in Colorado.

I have had the same problem, they refused to add my name to their do not call as well I will take the advise of a previous person and buy that phone am sick of getting this caller

Same call...DAILY...I pick up, then hang up....sooner or later it stops.

Phone companies can't stop the number but the NSA can capture our conversations ... maybe if they called Michele .. then someone would locate them with a "Drone Strike" ... Crazy we have to put up with this type of aggravation these days. Maybe we should ask the IRS and Ms. Scumbag Lerner to look into this.

Just got my call from 410 774-8198  Over the past year we have probably had 100's of these bothersome calls.  I have taken the time to track down the calls and the finger points to Comcast. When you call Comcast directly and report that their agents are using these underhanded and borderline illegal tactics, they claim to be unaware that anything like this is going on. There are many reports of the Comcast connection. One of two things needs to happen. 1. Assuming that Comcast knows nothing about this(which simply cannot be the case) Comcast sues these marketers to cease and desist. 2. If Comcast is somehow connected to this telemarketing scam then they need to receive a monumental fine to serve as warning to all that these telemarketing scams are illegal and they will be prosecuted to the absolute maximum penalties.
Secondarily, where are the state prosecutors? Where is the FCC?  I hear about these calls from EVERYONE yet the companies that generate these calls continue to harass Americans from coast to coast 365 days a year.  Someone is not doing there job.

It must be a contractor working for Obama's NSA or some other spy group to see if we answer and call back ... next you'll get a call from Jon Carson of OFA asking you to donate to the Meliek Obama's Muslin Brotherhood Scholarship fund to send David Axelrod and Sandra Fluke to Arabic Language School. That's how these Dem's work ... they don't pay for anything!!!

To all of you who have had these calls, the BEST $50 you'll ever spend is to buy a phone system (Costco has several brands) with "Call Block" and whenever you get one of these calls, block the number.  I have a Panasonic wireless and you can block 30 ph numbers and it takes all of 10 seconds to do it! The next time they call, it rings once, if at all, and they get a busy signal, then disconnected. I wish the "Do not call" list was more effective, but this is the next best thing and at least you begin wasting their time, not the other way around....

Repeated phone calls from this number everyday, doesn't matter the time of day either. They get to my voicemail and do not leave a message but I can hear some noises from people in the background. I am on the do-not-call list, so this should not be happening.  The name on my caller ID is:  Gambrills  MD. This is a city not a company.

Occasional calls from this number; this is first time it showed "Gambrills MD" as caller.  Easy to put a block on the number.

   These guys won't let up!   I was cleaning out my voice mailbox and I had a dozen calls from them out of 60 recordings!      Complete Voice Mailbox Trash!!!   They either leave Dead Air on your Message Machine or some Inaudible Message About some guy Who's possibly mad about something way over in New England with the 410 area code.    

Who cares about so and so in the 410 area code?!!!!  

Just stop calling, you jerk!!

These clowns are running on extension starting at 300. To reach a human, call the number, wait for the robot to answer, dial *8, and then your extension followed by #. E.g. "4107748198, *8, 301#". Extension 300 seems unoccupied, but 301-305 all give humans. 306 is unoccupied. 307 is another human. I didn't dial further than that.

Tired of calls from them? Let's make them tired of calls from us.

Centurion Marketing.  They have called me every day for at least the last 3 weeks.  I started calling them back and leaving a message with my number telling them to take it off.  I will call every day they call me.

Most likely not from comcast, dead giveaway is the fact that they don't know. Chuck this call as another telemarketing scam. I will never answer a long distance call to my cell of whom I don't know. Not comcast not anyone. They are wasting everyone's time.

They have been calling every 3 days, leaving a voicemessage without saying anything. I call the number and a recording comes on stating they are Centurion Marketing and to leave a message if you received a call. I left a message stating my phone number and told them not to call again. If they do call again, I will return the favor and leave repeated messages for them as they do.

They've called me every night for about a week. Centurion Marketing is on their tape recording. I filed a complaint with the FCC.

If you have Verizon, you should be able to add this number to a blocked number list. Hopefully that will stop the spam for a few months.

I would suggest looking at the company in Maryland first.

This Centurion Media Group is located in Maryland where the calls are coming from. And they have "23 jobs open where you can work from home"

I am getting 3-4 calls a day from them... sometimes back to back. It's comcast as far as I can tell. Must be trying to sell, because I am current on my bill

I have received multiple calls from these guys, and I've left two voicemails asking them to stop, yet they keep calling.  I wish I had their home numbers so I could return the favor!  Why won't they stop calling?!?!

They also call from an "unknown" number.  I know it's them because the 4-second message of some muffled voice is exactly the same.  Next time they call, I'm going to answer and give them a piece if my mind...

They keep calling my cell phone (on the do not call list) -- they leave a voice mail, but it is just the sound of their damn office, telephones and noise in background.

#0 then #0 again is your friend. I have not answered the daily calls from this number. They leave me blank voicemails. I did get annoyed enough to try calling them back.  I got a recording that said to leave a message, and figured out that #0 then #0 again gets to a real person.  I did this 3 times in a row.  I will do that every time Centurion Marketing calls me.

No Message left. When I called back it said please hold for customer service???

I received three calls from this phone number and luckily I didn't answer cause I was on another line. I am living in West coast and felt strange that unknown number calls me at late nights. I don't like it at all. I read all other people's complaints and worries on the blog and took some notes how to deal with this issue. I am going to save this number as "A***ole" on my address book and so if they call me again, I won't answer from now on. What a headache!!
