Right. So holding responsible the person with the LEAST control over the situation ALWAYS works. Going out of your way to make them feel bad doesn't help your situation or theirs. The funny part is, while you sit around with your air horn like a child trying to bother someone doing their job, they are getting paid to laugh at your idiocy. What you do to those kind men and women that are trying to earn an honest living is vindictive and highly immature. In addition it DOESN'T STOP THEM from calling back. So please, continue to waste their time and your time. They get paid UPWARDS of 10$ an hour to take your abuse, whereas you get a poor method of venting and no money.

As a side note, to all those who are frustrated at not getting a message: It's illegal for a Sales Rep. to leave a message.

Stop whining about it, if you want them to stop then call the number and tell them to take you off of their call list.

Don't get upset about it! I called DirecTV and when the automated voice asked what I needed, I said "FILE A COMPLAINT". I was immediately forwarded to an employee to take me off their "promotions" service. Takes about 8-10 days to take effect!

The calls are from Direct TV - made the mistake of answering. Told them not to continue to call, yet I get a call from them every day and different times. I am really getting sick of this.

Got a call on my business cell? I am a DirectTV customer, but they do not have that number on my account.  Oh well. Just ignored, added it to my contact list and set it to send all calls from this number directly to voicemail.  Simple FREE solution.

I get calls from this number also as I am a Directv customer, and am on the do not call list. You know if people would do their research their are devices for sale on the internet that would put a stop to all these calls. Instead people want to write on this message board with all kinds of emotions and anger because they can't get these calls to stop, but they can. I use a digitone call blocker for $99 including shipping you can block up to 80 phone numbers, whole area codes, and unidentified callers. Telemarketers call me they get blocked they spoof their number and they get blocked again. This just goes round and round. The best part is I don't even know they call as the device blocks the number without even ringing my phone, as there is a slight ringer delay so the device can determine if it's a legitimate phone call to pass through to my phone, or a junk call. Since my Digitone is filled to the max with blocking 80 area codes sometimes a junk call will sneak past the Digitone to my phone, I have that covered also. I have a Panasonic Dect 6.0 phone with the call blocking feature that blocks 30 phone numbers. So if a call sneaks through to my phone two button pushes that number is now blocked through my phone. I am considering buying another digitone and hooking it up in series to my other digitone which would add 80 more numbers and area codes to be blocked. I would have to call digitone to see if that can be done. Since I've had this device their are telemarketers that used to call me all the time sometimes many times a day and they just plain old went away as they realize they can't get through to me anymore. You guys enjoy posting your emotion filled post on here as it doesn't do any good they will still call. Enjoy.

This is now happening to me.  They call continually and hang up.  I have called Direct TV and spoken to two different reps on two different days (one being a supervisor, what a joke!) and have been told they will stop.  They lie at Direct TV.  Dish Network never did this to me.  DO NOT USE DIRECT TV.  Go anywhere else because this does not stop.

THEY ARE CALLING MY CELL PHONE ...  A$$HOLE$

I did not pick up the call since I did not recognize the number and entered the number on-line only to find multiple complaints from DirecTV customers who have received calls from the same number that tried to contact me. I immediately called the company to complain about the illegal calls. The person I spoke with assures me the calls will stop. We shall see.

They only call me after I slam them thru e-mails. The latest for me is the removal of "CLOO" channel. They informed me that it is noew upper choice plan channel along with sundance and encore, all of which I currently am paying TOO much for. I find it absured that they claim high customer service. I am told "as a valued customer of long standing", over 10 years, that they will do this or due that. Bulls#@t! I have the same worn out recievers and inoperable hand remotes since I became a customer. They offered to me what they called a good deal. Again, bulls#@t. Bestbuy or other independants are cheaper. Direct TV would be better if they didn't want "evil empire" status like the New York Yankees. They have created a monoply paying BILLIONS for sporting events. Just try to pay for NFL sunday ticket, its mind blowing. I'm looking to cable if you can believe it. Direct tv is buying itself out of business

This number calls me EVERY morning. I never have a chance to answer, but no one leaves a message. Annoying.

Just received a call at 9pm PST. It was Directv. Let it go to voicemail and they left a 3 minute message of silence on my phone. WTF!!! I have never received calls like this from them before and we have had their service for 2 years now.

I save these numbers in my phone as Don't Pick Up and set them to silent when they do call. Unfortunately they use new numbers every so often, but it works the majority of the time.

Repeatedly calls with promotions.

DirecTV Marketing Dept. Anytime you downgrade your services, they start calling the very next day trying to sell you additional services.

A FEW WEEKS AGO, ON A SUNDAY NIGHT, THIS # CALLED MY PHONE. I MISSED THE CALL. THEY DID NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE & IT SHOWS AS "NO NAME".  YESTERDAY, AGAIN SUNDAY NIGHT, I RECEIVED A CALL AT 6:51 PM. AGAIN, MISSED THE CALL BY JUST SECONDS. CALLED THE # BACK....BUSY BUSY BUSY. AGAIN, THEY DID NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE.

We have had early am calls.  These calls are flustrating,  We think these are ememgency type calls so we run to answer the phone.  After reading the other messages on this site, about this number, I know I will become balistic if I find someone on the other end. I do not wish for these so called informational calls to continue.

this is not DirectV but  call center that sells Directv and you wish to complain call the main Directv office in El Segundo, CA and start letting them know that they are doing this over and over. Even DirectV doesnt allow them to do this.

Woke up this morning and saw that I had a call at 1201 am. No message just the number where the call came from. Looked it up and wow, all these blog messages. I guess when they call again, I will hit receive button on cell phone and not listen. The call will cost them, not me. Unlimited monthly cell phone use does have it's privileges.

Get phone call from this number almost every day and sometimes more than once! They never leave a message. If it is Directv then they need to stop calling or leave a message! Otherwise they may lose some customers if more people find this out!

I don't even have Directv & haven't for several years now.  The just started calling my CELL PHONE about 2 weeks ago & keep calling 2 or 3 times a day.  I wasn't sure who it was so I never answered it, but I will be answering the next call.  I have had this number for over 2 years now & never had a call from them plus the last time I had Directv  it was in my husband's name & we had different phone numbers.  Isn't it illegal to do these kind of sales calls to random cell phones?
