A 9498257831 keeps calling me pretending to be google they said fir 300.00 a month they can list my company in 5 states of my choice

This is a telemarketer, or otherwise unwelcome caller.

An automated message regarding search engine placement on Google.  It seems I get calls like this every day. Very annoying.

They keep calling me all times of the day and when I  say hello, they don't answer. This is annoying, should I contact my lawyer cause this is harassment..

First of all, who's "GOOG"?

Further, they are NOT Google, but people acting like they represent them and are trying to sell you SEO services for your website, etc.  You got dooped if you think they are googLE.  Read the other posts?  They're wrong, but you're right?  LOL!  They just called me again... and NO, they are NOT Google!

DUH, calm down.

Also, even if they give you a website to go to confirming them, THAT IS ALSO A SCAM.

I got a call from " a contractor for Google" a few years ago to boost my web site rankings. I asked for the "company name" so I could check them out (reviews, BBB, online presence) they gave me a TOTALLY BOGUS web site and company name, complete with AWSOME reviews and BBB rating!

I paid the money they wanted, and noticed my receipt said a different company name; "29PRIME".
These Bstrds took control of my Google places with THEIR website url and link (advertising THEM, not ME).

I immediately contacted 29prime and requested cancel, but they refused. I called my bank and cancelled payment, then contacted THE REAL GOOGLE to get my Google places returned to me.

Total process took 6 months to get back to normal, and I never got my refund.

This is one of many numbers pretending to be from Google. I do not answer these calls.
@ bobdole22 - how do I know that you are not part of the spammers...if I need to give out the number being called. If that were the case, that would just increase the spam.

google listing junk call

Went to voice mail on my work number but didn't leave a message.

I get daily random calls from different numbers in different states from GOOGLE. The machine tells me I need to update my listing.

It's egumball.com trying to sell you SEO and front page rankings on google maps.

Losers stayed on the line for about 10 seconds then hung up on me after answering.

first off, they're scammers. They use a random autodialer, and are using spoofed numbers. Ergo, the DNC can do nothing about it. By pressing "2", you have now told these parasites that yes, this is an active number, and they will NEVER stop calling you. They will switch calling numbers and call you over and over and over...i've been called literally hundreds of times in such a way. I have over 150 phone numbers now set to silent ring.

Keep getting calls from this number at my business.  It is an automated call saying they are with Google services.  I wait until it says to press 2 if I want to be taken off list, but every time I press 2 it hangs up on me...imagine that!! Very annoying!! I am on the do non call list, but doesn't seem to stop them!!

They are now blocked!!!  Actually, I just blocked the ENTIRE 410 AREA CODE.  If they change numbers - and they always do - the Digitone blocker will block them!  I now have 23 area codes blocked.  The Digitone will also block individual numbers.
