Fortunately, my Call Blocker Plus stopped this call and I did not even hear a ring on my phone.  The only way I know that they called is to review the blocked number on the Call Blocker Plus.

Even though my Call Blocker stopped this call (www.digitone.com) I still want to SCREW these people as much as I can.  Wondering why the Do Not Call isn't working?  It's not working because our great government has GIVEN UP trying to stop these Ä??HØLË?. Don't despair however because, actually, there IS something that you can do and it is FREE.

A new web site, www.nomorobo.com just came online.  This web site was built by some guys who hate telemarketers as much as anyone.  Here is how their web site works.

They maintain a list of numbers used by telemarketers.  After you join their web site, again, for FREE, you then have the right to report telemarketer's numbers and they will be added to the NoMoRobo list of banned numbers.

How do you use NoMoRobo to stop robocalls from coming in to your phone?  Well, you must have a feature on your telephone services from your phone company that allows you to ring more than 1 number when a call comes into your primary number.  Verizon calls this service SIMULTANEOUS RING.  Most people set it up so that when a call comes into their home number, their cell phone rings at the same time and the call may be answered on either phone.  What you must do is to set up your phone service so that it also calls NoMoRobo's number.  Once you do this, here is what happens.

A call comes into your phone (123) 456-7890 for example.  It also rings NoMoRobo's number.  NoMoRobo's computer answers the phone before your phone even rings.  If the incoming call is from a number who's ANI (Automatic Number Identification data - also known as Caller ID) is UNAVAILABLE and if their phone number is UNAVAILABLE, then NoMoRobo puts and off-hook condition on the line (i.e. it picks up the call) and then immediately puts an on-hook condition on the line (i.e. it INSTANTLY hangs up on the line) and that is that.  You phone does not ring.  The robocall computer doesn't know what happened and who cares.  Because if they call back, they will experience the same result.  But what if a call comes into your phone and the number is (123) 678-9034 and the ANI data says something like "Service Company".  That might seem legit.  NoMoRobo has already checked its database and (123) 678-9034 is not listed as a robocaller so NoMoRobo already forwarded the call to your number.  You answer and discover that it is a telemarketer.  

You hang up immediately, then you log onto your computer and go to www.nomorobo.com and sign into your account and report then number.  Just like that, any call coming in to NoMoRobo from (123) 678-9034 will be intercepted as a robocall for not just YOU but for EVERYONE who registers with NoMoRobo!  You have done a public service and, more importantly, SCREWED a telemarketer!

It's got to be a scam. They won't stop calling me.

Phone number pops up on caller ID as "849-4034" CONSTELLATION E which is E means Energy.  I used to be a customer of theirs, but I switched a while back because I was getting better rates elsewhere.  So, they are trying to get me back as a customer.  I usually do not mind these calls, but the problem is that some corporate big wig tell these telemarketers to call me back day after day after day.  I usually will ask that they call me back in 6 months because that is when I will examine my energy bill.  Because of deregulation there are choices I have and I always want the best rate.

Someone calls from this number several times a day.  This has been going on for weeks.  there is never anyone on the line when I answer.  I am on the do not call list.  It is very annoying.

It sounds like a scam to me.  Are you sure it really was Maryland Special Olympics?

You need to do that national do not call list thing multiple times a year I've noticed. So you might want to re-register.

I don't even have Comcast. Haven't had comcast in over 7 years. I got the call from this number yesterday. I didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message. My husband looked up the area code and found it was Maryland. We don't know anyone in Maryland so they can shove it lol.

Called several times in one afternoon, to my cell. I don't answer numbers I don't recognize, and await a voicemail if it's someone I know possibly calling from a different number. Three calls from one number in the span of 4 hours is too much. After reading this post, I blocked the number. Thanks.

I had the same issue. calls many times with no voice mail. After reading the comments here I called the number back and it was Constellation Energy which is an alternative energy supplier in Maryland. I used them a few years ago and they were marketing another offer. I asked them to take me out of their calling list and they apologized and acknowledged to remove my number.

I called the number back and they answerd as "Constellation Energy"...   I asked the gentlemen to take me off the call list and he said they would.   1 month later they are still calling.  I also am on the National Do Not Call List...

These people are so annoying. I wish they would stop calling.  They been calling for months. I never awnser.

I have been getting annoying calls all day from this number. There are no voice mail messages. I do not pick up on phone numbers I do not recognize. I just called at 9pm. The voice mail states it's Constellation Energy.  I have considered blocking the number as an option.

Called, no message left.  Called back and yes, it's Constellation Energy.  I hung up.

I just got a call from this number and they left no voice mail... so I called it back, and the recording said it was from constellation energy

Called tonight @ 7:30 PM.  Waited til the end of my voice mail so it would register a voice mail...nothing there.  Called back and got recording for Florist Concierge (sp?) to send flower delivery.  

Yeah, dropped off my DVR and Internet router on Friday. Started getting calls on Monday. No message.

Same thing for me.  Canceled our Comcast last week.  This number has called me twice in two days, but I've been at work, so I could not answer.  I would assume it is legitimately Comcast trying to lure us back with some kind of a deal.

i just cancelled comcast yesterday due to a move (from the d.c. area) and received a call from this number today. i didn't answer and they did not leave a message but i would not be surprised if it was comcast.

I've been getting calls from this number for months now at random hours during the day when I'm at work. Never any messages left on my voicemail. Last night, another call came in after I got home from work, so I decided to answer to see who in the world it was. The caller claimed to be from Comcast and was asking for the reason I had scheduled a disconnnect of my service. Of course I hadn't done any such thing, and I assume they would have disconnected it by now if I HAD put in a request since I've been getting a call from this same number for months.

He then asked what service package I had, which immediately put up a red flag. I told him, "the same one I had at our old place" which apparently threw him. He started stammering and said he didn't have my file to look it up, but they had some great promotions to offer to me. To an existing customer who recently moved and signed up for a promotional offer?

What a scam. I've received fake letters claiming to be from Comcast in the past that claim they have had to run a credit check and that there will be an extra fee added to my bill. Call this number to get the details and have the fee waived. I never called and never had any extra charges on any bills from this "credit check". I'm assuming these are all part of the same scam to solicit personal information.

Given that other people seem to be getting calls from this same number claiming to be from the "MD Special Olympics" - it seems obvious that this number is toxic. Under no circumstances should you answer a call from this number. Hope this helps.

It's Comcast calling because I recently switched to another company and they were offering some incentives to stay with them.

They've called me 2 times today, I haven't answered, and they don't leave voicemails.
