It's another scam call where the caller is not on the line when you answer! The way to fix this annoying problem of scam-callers and telemarketers is to vote AGAINST every politician who is currently in office.  Why?  Because we already have laws to protect us from these scammers, and the incompetent career politicians who are currently in office have done nothing to enforce the laws we sent them to enforce.  You can make a difference on Primary and General Election Days by voting against EVERY politician in office, by firing them all, and by replacing them with new blood.  If you do not fire these political morons, we will continue to receive these abusive and annoying illegal scam calls from the maggots known as telemarketers, a product of the career politicians who aren't doing the jobs we hired them to do.  Please be a true American and vote against ALL incumbents!

Got a call from this number this afternoon. When I answered there was no one on the line. Caller id says Verizon. I too get calls from this number frequently.

It's not Verizon folks.  It's easy to spoof caller ID with whatever - similar to phishing but with a phone rather than email.  They could just as easily put B. Obama in your caller ID.

   I just got a call from this number. I didn't answer it and they left no message. my caller ID said it was Verizon. these are spam calls and they are very annoying. they happen off and on. they're harassing and ridiculous. when your not getting spam calls you'll get spam mail and this goes back and forth too! this is disturbing my daily life and I'm fed up!!!

I just picked up the phone and talked to someone.  He was trying to sell me on some package that you could get for 1/2 off for a year.  He then said...(really fast) to get started is this the number you are calling from, and you have authorization to make changes to the account, blah, blah, blah.  I just flat out told him NO!!  He never asked if I wanted to try out this service and if I had said yes to his "verification", I know we would have had that package put on our Fios!  After I called the guy a scammer and hung up on him, I called the number back.  If you listen to the recording, you can push 3 to be removed from their telemarketing list.  I guess since we do business with Verizon, the DNC list doesn't pertain to us.  But that made me mad that he never asked if I wanted this new package.

Called, nobody there, spouse hung up.  We already have a Fios package.  Don't need anymore products from Verizon.  Wouldn't touch their cell phones with a ten foot banana peel.

I have gotten rid of the nusence  calls. by almost by screaming into the phone.

Caller never engaged me on the phone;  just called my fax line, and hung up.  I called the number back and got a recording about Verizon services.  I reproted the call to FTC.Gov.  I find it hard to belive that verizon would call my do not cal listed number to try to make a sales pitch to me at 7:21 in the evening.  I also traced the call.  I indicated that I had traced the call when i reproted the call on line to FTC.Gov.  This program will not let me correct my typos.

Though the caller-ID says Verizon this is a SCAM operation. They say they are a third party company working with Verizon

This is not Verizon it is a scam to steal your money- using Verizon as a cover.

I called the number back and got an automated system announcing this number belongs to Verizon Outbound Sales. Push 3 and it will ask if you want to be added to their do not call list within the next 30 days.

I guess i'm the ONLY person happy to have received a call from them.  I called back, and was referred to another 800 number.  I called to see what they were offering, and ended up significantly upgrading my internet connection to 75/35 from 35/25 service.  I, for one, am GLAD they called, as I would have never bothered to check online for the pricing on such a fast connection, as I was sure it would be more than I wanted to spend.

Yes, we have FIOS.  No, we do not want to alter the terms of our service.  GO AWAY you annoying little piggies.  BLEEP.

just got this call not the 1st time either  it has been around along time  but it still says Verizon

received a call from this number, no name any more, but, asked to talk to "the person can access to Verizon account"

This is ID'd as Verizon. After they asked several questions about my phone, tv, and internet service, I told them I already had Verizon and they should have known that. I stated that they were wasting my time and that I was hanging up. Just another example of a large company not knowing what they are doing and don't care if they alientate their customers, even new ones.

I called the number and got a recording that it is Verizon and they were trying to contact me to tell me about new stuff I might be interested in. It just never stops.

Caller ID says Verizon, caller is actually Vonage.

These morons do not quit. Received a call last night (June 29 at 8:43pm), again today at 11:32am, 1:10pm, 3:29pm. I already know this is a bogus scam call, not a fan of Verizon, but i know they do not pull these harassing calls.

- My guess "Sparky" is that the real Verizon is trying to do everything to put a stop to this. The original call may be coming from overseas (a juridiction problem?)..The calls from the middle east, India, etc. have a way to mimic phone numbers to appear legit.

I have been getting repeated dead-air phone called from Verizon 410-91-0609. I want this to stop immediately or I will lodge a formal complaint with the state.

Been getting calls from these fools for weeks now.Never once have I answered or picked up.I knew it was a scam from the get go. This is not the way Verizon contacts you. I figured it was another company using the shortened name of Verizon.
What i don't understand is why the real Verizon is letting this continue.....
We all know it's a scam and Verizon does too. To let them continue on this coarse is just rubbing this legit customer the wrong way.
It would be easy enough to shut the number off (even if they we're to get another one) and prosecute the person the number is registered to.
We all get enough BS calls in a day and this is just wrong.
My suggestion would be this... If the call is not from a familiar number, let voice mail have it.
