I received a Verizon ad coming to my home Comcast line which has not been a Verizon number since 2004.  The call was a solicitation for a Verizon business and FIOs line.  My husband has one Verizon line from which the ad did not come in.  So, technically this call was a DO NOT CALL List violation.  If Verizon wished to solicit, Verizon should have called the other line-- or more, technically, should have sent  a solicitation in the mail.  Both of our phone lines are listed on the DO NOT CALL registry.  I reported this call which came in on my Comcast line as a Do Not Call List violation, and also put my number on the Verizon Do NOT CALL List by calling back the number.  I do not know who authorized such a call in the first place.  To me, something must be greatly amiss at Verizon if Verizon also is using this kind of Gypsy telemarketer tactic in making personal  telephone solicitation phone calls-- and phone calls to Comcast customers no less!

Call id says Columbia MD 410 910 0690. And they claim to be calling from Verizon and it's torture so I'm sure that everyone who answers the call falls for this crap.

Their crap system left a voicemail that pitched their sh*tty internet service.  At the end there was a rushed message that said "to be placed on our do not call list call 410-910-0690"

I called that number, and true to Verizon's scummy behavior, I had to sit through a sales pitch before it offered me the option to remove our number from their list.

They just suck donkey balls in every imaginable way.

This number called our business today at 1020 hrs.  The robo-message took a moment or two before it finally kicked in, "Good day from Verizon!  High speed internet is available..."  I slammed down the phone.  Between Verizon and Charter, I'm sick of both companies with their calls trying to get even more money out of us.  For the individual who thinks this isn't Verizon, I'm quite certain it is.  It's not a violation of the DNC list if you do or have done (recent) business with a company.  Our company does have Verizon but I have our internet services through my home phone number (which is also installed in our home office) because it was cheaper.  So Verizon assumes our company doesn't have business internet and keeps trying to talk us into it.)

We get these calls on our business line at least once every day. Caller ID says "Columbia, MD." If this is Verizon Business Sales, I don't know why they're bothering us - our line IS a Verizon one! Some years earlier we had their phone + DSL service. Moved our office space and switched to Optimum. Verizon kept calling asking for our business and we told them we wouldn't even think of it until FiOs came out in our area. It has and we are back with them, so I have no idea why they keep calling. Someone didn't get the memo, apparently...

Why get Verizon?  Business Lines are terrible (better reception on Sprint cell phone, what a way to try and run a business) and it is one excuse after another for scratchy lines and intermittent internet signal.  Lot of companies in area with same problem!  They say old lines in our area and to expensive to bring FIOS in, even though have connection boxes with .25 miles from building.  Latest excuse: need to upgrade phone system, trouble is we just upgraded within last 2 years!!! If they did not have monopoly on this area would switch in a minute or less if at all possible!!!
