Cannot call this number back just get a busy signal.  They do not leave a message either.  Is this NCO financial?

These people keep calling claiming that I owe taxes in a state I've never worked in or lived in.  I've been a stay at home mom and wife....for the past 3 years...they seem to have my first and last name...but they have a bogus Social Security Number...I would not give them ANYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY   INFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....I called NCO Group...and of course they don't have any records on me....because I don't have any outstanding debts..so I don't know if this is another company pretending to be them or what....Be careful...when these people call....I would not give them any info...

This number just called me.  I missed the call.  No v/m.

THEY ARE TRYING TO COLLECT A DEPT, ITS A COLLECTION COMPANY.

they called and gave me another # to call, 800- something... and the recorded message said I owed money to collections?!  sounds like another scam!

I got a call from this number, it showed up on my caller ID with their name.  I looked up info on google and found all kinds of negative info on the NCO Group. One web site had a toll free number, I just called and they asked for the phone number they called and she said she could not find anything.  When I questioned her she got real defensive and very rude and hung up on me.

Was on vacation and this came across on my cell as a missed call.  Called me again and this time when I answered they hung up.  I tried calling it back and just receive a busy signal.

These people call all the time and never ever leave a message.  I just cleared off all of debt with an attorney.  If this is a collection there is no reason for them to call. I tried calling back and it was a busy signal as well.

Received a message on my machine.   All they said was "we will be with you in a minute"  and then dead silence.  I have no debts and thought I had gotten these credit leeches off my back after going several rounds with First Credit Service (extremely rude and threating) over someone who used my phone number to open a checking account. Guess they passed it on to NCO.

I can't understand why they have the right to call none stop. Looking at my caller ID over a three day period I have a total of 14 calls. They are not all the same number, 215-436-8619, 704-871-0541, 718-684-9410, and 410-986-0085. WHO, are these people? I owe nothing, Even when i do not answer the call, my machine has a ton of endless messages. And one of the comments I have read on this site refers to them as "extremely rude and threating" that comment is being kind they are way past that.

Just received a call from 410-986-0085 saying I was delinquint on a payment. I don't know who it would be. I have no late or unpaid bills to my knowledge. They gave a number to call, but the caller said it so fast I was unable to grab a pencil and paper and write it down.  Called the number above and got a busy signal first time. Tried again twice and no one would pick. When they call again, should I just let it ring? What should I do? Any suggestions?

Don't even bother calling them back. They are a scam. Free phone use is used by forwarding the charges to another line. When you pick up your phone, it is confirmation that you accept the charges. Although the charges may seem minute (less than .03 cents) they are spread around to different victims across the U.S. to keep it inconspicuous.

DON'T PICK UP THE PHONE IF YOU RECOGNIZE THE NUMBER!!!

I just received a missed call from the 410-986-0085 number.  I had a missed call today, Monday August 11, 2008 at 10:57AM and then another missed call at 11:57AM both from that number.  I called back and let it ring for two minutes straight no answer.

I am only 21 and have a secure credit card only...there is no possible way I owe any debt...my monthly credit card bill is $15 and I have never missed a payment...these people are a bunch of losers.

I got a call from them too.. I think this is another one of those bogus companies that claim that they are some debt collection agency but they are not... dont give out any details...

I actually did recieve a call from these people in reference to a debt. So what I did was have fun with them. The first time they called I spoke jibberish in which noone is able to understand. THey finally said they would call back at a later date and speak to someone who spoke English. Next time they called, I answered as Bob - I asked them what they thought of Huey Lewis and the news and what their favorite song was followed by how I could get rid of genital herpes. They hung up again. They actually tried calling one more time and I asked them to go ahead and pay "The funds I owed" from their personal bankroll and I would send them an IOU in the mail but they would have to send me a stamp because I couldnt afford one. They haven't called since :D  I even sent them a few harrassing calls myself. Its all on how you play the game. They live to see people get angry, but if you play with them and make them angry its all well worth it.

This is some kind of joke/scam. 410-986-0085 calls twice in one hour and the phone never rang more than three times each time. Real debt collectors wouldn't use robo calls to collect on a debt unless they are completely stupid.

I missed a phone call from this number: 410-986-0085, earlier today. First of all, the name under the phone number on my caller ID is "Time Warner Cab," which is probablyy a trick they use to try to get you to answer the phone. Second of all, the message they left didn't specify who they were trying to contact, so i'm clueless.

They call my cell all the time and never leaver a mnessage!! Even at 9pm!!

I don't owe any bills. No one is on the line when I pick up and they won't stop calling. Are there any laws about this? Why are these people allowed to continue? Has anyone complained to congress for new laws? I am on a no call list and still it continues. I don't believe that people should have to pay fat cat lawyers for what others do to them. That is what laws should be for. I checked another website that has a list of complaints just like this one that keeps talking about a sol. What is that?
Its time for new laws and enforcement with teeth against these callers.

They were trying to send me a fax but I did block this number now. They are crooks and criminals - do not answer and do not talk to them!!!!

I would like to add that caller ID sometimes shows "Warner Cable"! with this number!! It is a proof that they are trying to fool you into believing that they are some legit company, but it is not so - they are identity stealing CRIMINALS!!!!!!

Number showed up as "Time Warner Cab" Claimed I had an outstanding debt on a Verizon cell phone bill. I never owned a cellphone before. They knew my first and last name, but they kept asking for my social security number. I tell them not to call and that they got the wrong "Jackie Bailey" that it's a common name, and I'm not giving out my personal info, they should have all that if I "owe a debt" and they keep calling. I dont know about you, BUT I dont know any debt collector with the name Time Warner Cab. I thought it might have been Time Warner Cable, because I have a HOUSE phone through them. Tricky Scammers.

Someone from this number called me twice today, 15 minutes apart and refused to disclose the company name or what the call was regarding. When I asked her to leave a message she asked my name and if I was related to the person they were calling to speak to, which she had right. She then said the call was being recorded or monitored and hung up abruptly. I called the number back and it rang several times but nobody answered. We have zero credit issues or tax issues, so this is probably just a sales solicitation. The Do Not Call list isn't perfect, but it does help.

We received these same phone calls alleging that my wife had 2 loans in collections and they had her social security number!!!  She has no such loans but don't know what the heck to do since they have her social??

These losers called us today asking for a person with another name and referencing a debt owed to the state of Maryland.
