Phone rang, hubby answered, said hello two times...  He heard them hang up....

Received several calls and no one on the line. What gives with this number.

I was on my cell phone when my home phone rang.  I didn't pick it up but when I was finished with my cell phone call, I did *69, since I no longer have Caller ID.  It was this number.  They never left a message, so when that happens, I have to assume it is a telemarketer.  I also am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  Go figure...

Called and rang 3 times then hung up

Just called, only rang twice.  Didn't answer.  Caller ID said AMVETS.

THEY CALLED AND ALL I GOT WAS SILENCE SO I WAITED AND WAITED AND WAITED TILL THEY HUNG UP

they have been calling my phone number for 2 weeks now, i finally answered, they asked for my name, then hung up

We get calls from this number daily.  Sometimes 2-3 times per day. We have caller ID and the screen shows that the number is associated with AMVETS. My daughter picked up the phone once and the caller launched into some bizarre message thanking us for past donations (we've never given them anything). She said she'd pass on the message, but they still keep calling. This morning I picked up the call after they phoned twice in 10 minutes and just heard silence. It seems like others on this board have had similar problems.

I hate to say it, but I really think that charities and non-profits should be added to the do-not-call legislation.  They've gotten to be as bad as telemarketers!

We've been called several times by this number, no message.  I picked up once since the call was from an area code where I know people, but as soon as I heard nothing but silence on the other end I hung up just in time to catch the telemarketer(?) pick up the line.  We are on the do not call list.

I heard a automated message saying the call is from M.  said hello twice and they hung up.

I said Hello twice, then heard Hi then they hung up....
