I also received another call from this number with no voicemail and the caller hung-up after 1 ring.  I'm sure it is a SCAM of some sort.

Did not call back. Scam. Could be fake Caller ID. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

They leave a message on my voice mail, that says press 1 to connect, HOW? You can not connect with Voice mail. Why even leave a message? NO call back number, in this magic message. Yes, they are stupid.

Recorded message ... Press 1 to be connected to a live operator... HOW? you can not connect during a recording.. These people are stupid. What a scam. The government and phone companies that allow this, are even bigger scammers.!!!

Same thing: two rings, then hang up. Do not call list is a joke. Companies rarely get caught and fined, and if they do, they make more money than the fine, so it's profitable regardless -- just like a lot of theft.  I have stopped calling any number back that I don't recognize. If someone wants to talk to me, they should leave a message.

So you are out $4 it seems. Call it tuition. Never, ever give out information to anyone that you do not know. The exception is when YOU initiate the call to purchase something and then only to a well known entity or store. Check any bank accounts or credit cards.

rang once for me too.. glad i didnt answer in time, and that i googled the number to find out that it was a scam.
i have an iphone and am going to add this number to my block caller list.  (you can do that on an iphone - just add assign a contact name for this number (example, 'scammer'), and then within the contact information, you can then select to block caller.

One ...no...two rings then went to missed call.  Just another scam of some kind since I do NOT know anybody in that area code.

Got a call from this number 412-205-8835 but did not answer it.  

If you're worried about charges call your credit card company and have them block any charges from these scammers.  Can you block the number? Try that next. Your phone company can help you with that.  If the credit card is in your name and you are in either USA or Canada you are not an adult and not liable.  (The bank that issued a credit card to a 16 year old is incompetent and negligent!) If the card is in your parents name, tell them before these crooks start putting charges on it.

I don't know what to do, I'm 16 so I'm a little naive and I've signed up for survey online stuff that pay you for surveys so I thought they were calling me from that. Anyway I gave them my card number and everything (a gift card with $4 on it) and now I have no idea what to do. They said they'd send me something in the mail but now I know it's a scam I feel like they'll just bill me. And I don't know how to handle this, can someone help me?
