You need to report these to FTC as they are in charge of stopping these types of calls.  FCC is for the airwaves to include radio and TV.

I keep getting calls from companies, most of them say they are trying to fix my Microsoft problem.  The number says the mailbox is full when you call it back.

huh?! So why the hell even give them that much info?!  Don't answer!  Get a free caller ID from your local Walmart or cable company.  Seriously, they are available for free out there. I am on the DNC list, have been for years, and still get those calls,..but seriously...just don't answer the garbage.  Look at the screen, and if you don't recognize it, don't answer. :) If they leave a message they are worth your time...if not..f*em! :)

This is Credit Card Services. That's what my caller ID said. Same as many above, I pressed 1 to talk to someone. When I told him I was on the Do Not Call Registry and would be contacting the State Attny Gen office, he cut off the call. Since I started doing this, I receive fewer calls.

When you answer and say hello to a robo-dialer, thats what tells the robot that it is a working number, and that it has a live sucker on the line, and your number is then moved to the"sucker"list, once your number is on that list, it stays on FOREVER! Welcome to our little club.Your number will be sold/traded/shared with every other scammer here in the USA and around the world. You can complain/biXch/and moan all you want to the FBI,CIA,NSA,FCC,FTC,OPRAH, and even Hawaii 5-0, but your number will always and forever be on that"sucker list".When they call, consider it a challenge or a sport, mess with them with the goal of wasting as much of their "valuable"time as possible, press 1 to speak to a"representative",then feed them as much B-S as possible, give them goofy/FAKE names, addresses, credit card numbers, toll free customer contact numbers on the back of the card,etc.etc.Since I retired, one of my personal favorites,is,when they ask for the toll free number on the back of the card, I give them a VERY kinky toll free sex-chat number,(google for a list of these),then just wait for them to come back on the line.Hilarity ensues, but be prepared for their true evil personalities to emerge, hold the receiver a couple of inches from your ear in case they have an air-horn/whistle.I've been messing with them for about 5 years now and actually look forward to their calls,I usually average about 15-30 minutes per scammer, here's my routine,I pretend to be senile and/or hearing impaired, and make them repeat things 3 or 4 times, but remember, they are trained professional grifters, their ultimate goal is to get your checking acct./credit card/debit card info so they can transfer your money to them.My husband tells me I need a hobby,I tell him I already have one. It's called scamming the scammers.Stay safe out there fellow club members.

My elderly father used to tell every scam caller "Please, I'm a senior citizen who doesn't understand all you're trying to tell me". I wanted to yell at him, Geez, just put a 20-foot high neon sign in your front yard, saying as much, then leave your doors unlocked so they don't break the windows when they rob you blind.
If I could block them I would; problem is, the answering machine eventually picks up, even tho' they never leave messages. This tells them the number is operable, so I fear the calls will keep growing in number. If I'm home and am pretty sure it's a scammer, I answer then instantly hang up, then repeat this sequence a couple times. When I hear a dial tone, I'll leave it off the hook for 10-15 seconds in case they try to redial. May be worthless on my part.

I can't believe some of the postings here saying you actually responded to this robocalling machine and wanted to talk to a real person. You couldn't tell it was a phony call? I mean a robo call in itself if illegal. And one saying they have tried repeatedly to get hold of us to lower our interest rate is a good reason to just hang up. Do NOT talk to these low life idiots.

Pretty sure it's a cc info filching service since we do not use cc's AND on my landline the 412 phone number is a cell phone.  They can be calling from anywhere!  I don't pick up when I don't know a number; if it's a real and important call they'll leave a message

These D-bags call at least 2x a day at least every other day. I've spoken to 2 reps, one a foreigner that spoke gibberish . T told them not to call. the gibberish one said she can't remove name from list and it sounded like she was scared. finally hung up. 2nd one hung up when I asked to speak to supervisor. These people are a boiler room scam operation seeking personal info. They move around a lot so calling Fed list does no good. Got a call this AM but not home to answer. Bunch of dirtbags.

This 'company' calls several times per day.

I answered the other day. Woman said, she's calling about lowering mortgage. I said, we do not pay a mortgage. She then said, Congratulations, but...she started to 'sell' another product, but I screamed so loud hope I broke her eardrum.
The following day, they called back. Talk to my husband. Same BS! The woman was told we're not interested.
They phoned again a few minutes ago. I turned up the radio, blasting music in their ears. They called again and again.

Caller ID reads. Cell Phone, PA

Got call claiming to be "Card Services", pressed 1 for representative, who immediately hung up on me when I asked him the name of the company that was calling. Got another call 5 minutes later, with a different representative when I pressed 1 who also hung up on me. Reported to FTC, but wondering if calling Pittsburgh police and filing a criminal harassment complaint would be more effective.

The caller ID is now showing as "solar".  They call as many as 6-8 times per day. They are totally annoying. Like Andrew,
I will also file a complaint with the do not call registry. I guess we just have to keep complaining until someone takes notice.
