I got this number calling in Dec, 2013. Said they were "Call Hunter Collecting Agency

Called Jan.30/14@10:29m ? Display also showed ?V13010290600069? at ?1-412-430-5662?.  I was working from home (Toronto area) and thought it might be a family member using a Long Distance Calling Card so I picked up.

I said ?Hello? and waited (thinking a pause would indicate an auto-dialer) and a male tenor voice came on using a questioning tone saying ?[my name]?? (even pronounced my name correctly, which is rare!)  I didn?t recognize the voice at all, so I said ?Who?s calling??.  There was a dead air pause and the voice came back again saying ?Jeff Crocker? and went quiet again.

I don?t know anyone named Jeff Crocker; I?ve never heard the name before.  As I'm who the hell is calling, I was realizing the pauses could be computer-generated ? at that moment the voice came on again saying ?You?ve been selected for an opportunity to win a cruise to Miami, The Bahamas, and Nicaragua?.? and was going to continue ? I immediately hung up.

It?s the same scammer calls, using a sophisticated computer system ? because it provides appropriate responses to standard ?typical? questions.  The RCMP website under Top Scams - this gives the appearance of winning something, which end up being a timeshare scam but its worse than that - they want your persona info (name, address, income level and credit card data [for the so-called "deposit"] but they use the data to create Fake IDs and commit more fraud in your name.

Report these calls to your local anti-fraud unit.  These are not honest businesses who do respect Telecom rules; all these 'fake survey, lower interest rate, pick a prize, won a cruise' calls are ALL scams - and they share, sell, rent out their lists.  Just hang up and report it so international law enforcement can gather the evidence and prosecute (or update the laws).  In Canada, you can email full details of the call (date, time, etc) to info@antifraudcentre.ca.

I?m so sick of our telephone system being abused this way.  Tell your elected officials you want them to support funding so the anti-fraud units can do their jobs instead of being hampered by budget cuts!

I'm in Norther Alberta and 412 430-5662 calls here too, once, sometimes twice a day.

Someone from that number 4124305662, keeps calling me without saying anything, hangup. That person calls me from my home and cell numbers ( do not know how he or she got them) without leaving any messages to identify himself/herself. When I call back, I got nothing for a few seconds and a hangup. If that person cannot identify himself/herself and say why he or she calling? Make them stop calling me and wasting my minutes and energy.

Oh great another robo call. I never get regular calls, just these douchbags a couple times a day !

The robot message which handles calls like Siri on your iphone, says he is calling from Air Miles and want to give you a $2,000.00 travel voucher to Miama and the Caribbean . The usual....give us your credit card and blah blah blah.

Got a call from 412 430 5662 my Iphone made the sound of a photo being taken when the call was answered.
Scary Crap!!

Got a call from "Hi,I'm Jeff!" WTF. "Jeff, you sound like a machine, not a real person."
"Yes, I am a real person, why do you ask?"
"Who's calling, please?" No answer. I hung up.
Annoying! Invasive! And the machine like blip-ended pauses between the over-enthusiastic (coke-fuelled?) chatter are nothing like human.

Some Jeff was calling, and beside I said hello he said , are you there , sounds very stupid, I missed 5 calls yesterday

This number is frustrating me, DO NOT ANSWER IT>

It repeated that message three times before hanging up.

Sounds like a new twist on those vacation marketing scams. I'm sure after answering a couple of questions, you'll get through to a live operator in a call centre somewhere. Normally I like to see how long I can play these calls out, but didn't have the time right now.

Got a call at 9:21 am this morning (missed call) called to see who/what it was - a recording came on - a male voice kind of gruff saying your call could not be transferred or something like that and to try again later.  I also have my number registered on the DNC list but I have been getting at least 2 calls a day since Christmas from telemarketers.  We will be re-entering our number with the dnc again as I was told they do expire and have to be re-entered.

nothing said,caller just hung up when i answered.

Call me twice in the week no answer no messages.

you're joking right like are you that gullable, these are scammers you really think they are going to have their information that easily accessible lol. you have a lot to learn. theyre spoofing their number so even if you do look it up its not going to go back to them and their probably calling from a PC, thats why theirs that subtle delay when you pick up.

I have received calls from this # more than once. I will never answer any call from an area code I do not recognize. Its in your best interest not to take any calls from this number..

Any phone calls from an area code where I don't know anyone who lives there is usually 99% a scam.
