It has stated I can receive reduced rates for electricity.

yup just as I thought..it is a prerecorded message about a credit card scam..criminals trying to steal our identity..complaint filed with the FCC

Let's harass the harassers.

At 7.11 on a Sunday night.  CID said Public Service.  They did not speak and I did not answer.
I called back today and automated recording said, "If you want to be placed on our DNC list, press one now."

Received a call from this number at 6:36PM on Sunday, Oct. 28th.  We were out, but the number and CID "Public Service" were captured by our phone.  Called back, and was immediately sent to an automated system that intoned "We are sorry...and if you want to be placed on our do not call list, please press 1"

Someone advised on these calls to answer on 1st or 2nd ring, then start pressing any number about 20 times. It was said that this screws up their robo caller. I have tried on several callers that call EVERY day. I haven't received any further calls from the ones I did this too. But we shall see. Give it a try, can't hurt and it kinda feels good.

called at 7:27 pm. caller ID said Pittsburg, PA. I  Answered the phone. There was a recorded message to lower your interest rate on your home loan. The recording said to push 1 to speak to a representative, I did, and was sent to another recorded message saying they were too busy to take my call. I was to leave a message with my number to have them call back, and if I'm behind on my home loan to let them know how many months I'm behind. Very irritating!!!!!

Sunday night.  Have relatives in Pennsylvania.  Call comes in with 412 area code.  Hang up as soon as I answer.  Listed as private caller in West Mifflin, PA.  Verrrrrry annoying.

Called and left no message when answering machine picked up.

Called while we were out.  Caller ID said "Public Service".  WTF?

They just called me too, at 602 pm.  I wonder why these new morons are targeting mostly California residents, and mostly on a Sunday.  They hung up when my machine picked up.
Caller ID should say "public DISservice".

just a matter of time before this number becomes one of those annoying numbers..so far no message just Public Service on the caller ID with Pennsylvania area code..I live in California...  another credit card scam most likely..we'll see..

Caller ID says "Public Service"

Just got a call from this number.  No ID, no message.  Just more aggravation.

I got one yesterday as well...funny that they all went out on sunday oct 21, 2012...I live in SF, ca. the computer just keeps calling all our phones till someone picks up...it really pisses me off...now our landlines are being held hostage to greedy humans..disgusting...

Called saw the area code, Did not answer left no message!  Good didn't want to call them back anyway!

I have tried everything to keep this people from calling me.  Now the call is coming on a Sunday night.  Arrrgh

recorded message that starts out by saying that because of recent legislation,they are required to modify my home loan--another blatant lying telemarketer calling on a Sunday evening.   Name shows up as the phone number and reverse lookup shows it as a private landline in Pittsburgh

5:50pm pacific time, Oct. t 21st. caller ID said public service, I didn't get it and no message left.

At 5.35pm on Oct 21st 2012. No message left.

Around 5:15 P.M. on October 21, the phone rang but could not get to it in time.  No message left.
