I just got scammed. Same story. Different name---> "Paige Smith" The phone number she gave me is as follows: (412) 537-1792. Again, that's 4125371792

Please contact the police. This woman (Andrea Wells) has been doing this for a very long time (before 2009) around Oakland, Shadyside and Squirrel Hill. The judge gave her a 90-day probation in court on 10-17-2013 since there wasn't a victim in presence at the time... She has been driving at least 3 different cars around the city to do her ?business? (she's not poor!) and according to the Pitt police, she actually has both alcohol and drug problems and the authorities have offered her help BUT she always refuses (nobody knows why)... Most shockingly, she used her own 4-year-old son to ?help with her business? before replacing him with a doll recently (as the authorities warned her)? The reason why Andrea is still not in jail is because many victims are not willing to testify and being at the court since the ?donated? amount is usually not very big and people tend to just let it go (this even caused cases withdrawn).

It happened to me on 10-27-2013, around 1am, near Wightman and Beacon St. The same phone number, with a 10-year-old kid in a grey sedan. She got 40$ from me, via a Oscar level acting skill, still with the same story of attorney and gas depletion.  She actually drove me to the nearby bank to draw money, after I gave her money, actually I was almost sure it was a scam. But I just could not help to gave her the money, since she pretended as in a great panic and was almost crying...I have been assuring myself, okay, just for that pathetic little kid.

I gave her $40 supposedly for petrol to get to her mother who was in hospital. This was on September 9th around 1-2am at the corner of Forbes and Murray. Her phone number was 412-537-1792 still, but her car registration is now JGK 6876.

Be careful!!! She just scammed me out of $30 of course it was my fault for falling for her story. She seemed really nice and normal and she had a kid in the back seat and my bank was around the corner so she took me there. Of course I took precaution and had my location on my phone on and had the window down the whole time in case. She gave me the same story about being an attorney and she needed gas to get to the airport. And that her day was crazy bc her mom was in the hospital from a stroke. You would not recognize her as someone crazy. She was driving a silver Nissan. I called Pitt police and they are reporting it but they recommended I call the city too since it was outside the Pitt campus even tho was a Pitt student. She also used the number 412-537-1792.

This happened to me two days ago in southside works. The woman said she was a flight attendant and that someone was in the hospital and she was running out of gas. She was so convincing that i genuinely felt bad for her and agreed to give her some money. I figured she would only ask for about $10, but when she asked for $40 i got suspicious. Still, I gave her the money and my phone number. After I got home I found this site and notified the police.

She stopped me tonight in Squirrel Hill as I was crossing Bartlett and Murray on the Giant Eagle side of the street. She began by saying that that this was humiliating for her, that her name is Paige and that she is an attorney. Because I had given her money several months ago and afterwards found this site (that time she had said that she was Andrea the flight attendant), I didn't even listen to what she had to say and just told her after she introduced herself that I couldn't help her. She was driving a sedan (gray, I think) with the license # HXX 1667. The child seat was there in the back, but there wasn't a child in it this time, thank goodness.

Her full name is Andrea Michelle Wells. Just call the police when you see her!

Just happened to me for the second time. She got me once back in October for $20 and her name was Andrea and she was a flight attendant. This time 8/4/13 she was an attorney Paige (same kid in car). I told her I couldn't help her but was such in a state of shock that I didn't think to say anything more to her or even get the plate number till after she had pulled away. Both happened in Oakland on Pitt's campus.

Please do contact the police. Can you imagine that Andrea has been using her OWN (real) son for her "business"? What kind of mother would do that?

I met this woman as described today in the afternoon, and saw the kid and heard about her 64-year-old mother story whom could possibly die according to her story. Her number is 412-537-1792, this time claiming herself as an attorney who had studied in Pitt ten years before. I met her around the corner of Clapp Hall, and asked immediately for cash or credit card. Took me four or five calls before she picked up the phone and actually made an arrangement for money return on Saturday (when she asked it for gas). She first asked for 70 then for 80. I felt so stupid afterwards giving her some money and seeing all these posts.. Hate her. Don't even talk to her in the first place.

Guess I'm not the only one to fall for this. She pulled over on S 27th and Carson today in front of American Eagle Outfitters in a grey sedan. Same story but no kid in the car. I did notice the kid car seat though.  I was pushing my two young kids in a stroller. She has no shame. I'll be contacting authorities.

Just an update: Last week, "Andrea" (this is actually her REAL name!) was charged for "Disorderly Conduct" at the City Court and she will need to pay my money back and pay a fine OR go to jail!!! There are still more cases against her in the coming weeks. Please contact Pitt or CMU police if you want your money back and want to see some justice.

This shameless woman has approached me more than twice since 2011! If you could call the Pitt Police, they may help you to get your money back.

I fell for this too a few months back. Even though she didn't call me back after saying she would, I had faith that she was telling the truth. She approached me again today, and seemed to have forgotten that she had already pulled this once on me. She starting talking and I said she'd already done this. She said "thank you" and drove away.

If you ask for her dirver's license, she will say that she left it at home with her wallet---same old lies...She is one shameless scam. That's why the court is waiting for her again! The Pitt Police knows exactly who she is.

I also gave $10 to her since I saw the 3-year old kid. If she borrow money next time, ask for her driver's license first!

Wednesday night, (1/16/13) around 10:30 PM she was parked in a gray sedan on Murray Avenue near Darlington in Squirrel Hill. She asked me for help, told me her name is Andrea and the name of her son who was in a child seat in the back. She said that she is a flight attendant and her mother just had a stroke. She is black with nicely coiffed hair in a sort of straight pageboy. I ended up giving her a five dollar bill and told her to pass it on. Hah.Thanks everyone for posting -- I found this site via Google.I will contact Pitt police. I will be warning others about her, especially if I ever see her again in Squirrel Hill.

"Andrea the flight attendant" is at again, on Darragh street this time. "Mother in the hospital and no money to fill up" story was presented with all sorts of crying and other special effects. She took me to Montefiore hospital to an ATM. We exchanged phone numbers (412-537-1792) and couldn't get in touch with her when i called 20 minutes later. After speaking with a few people, this "fllight attendant" has been in and out of court for soliciting for the past 2 years and has just been paying fines...and coming back to the streets of Oakland, Sq Hill, and Shadyside. So if you want your money back, ask the police to incorporate your "donated" amount into the fee she'll end up paying.
I never wish anyone harm but this lady needs to have a stroke herself and quit making up lies to get money. So pathetic.

Her car plate number HXX 1667, black woman with little baby(OMG, what if the child knows what her mother was doing when he grows up!!!!). And this time her mobile is 412-537-1792. I called police, and they cannot ensure they can capture her using phone number and plate number. I think this is kind of connivancy
