I get calls several times a day every day on my cell phone. They never leave a message. I have no credit problems, and I do not need a lawyer. I have a lawyer. Why are they calling ?

The few times I answered any calls coming from 412-567-XXXX (last four vary), they were Weltman, Weinman and Reese, a law firm in Pittsburgh, PA trying to collect a debt they don't have a right to collect. Mine was Discover Card - but according to the Fair Debt Collection Act, once you start paying back on an agreed amount, the collector can NOT change the original total amount being repaid. Not only did WWR add additional costs to the agreed-upon total, but they tried to sneak in an additional $600 for a credit card who took me to court AND LOST ... it is a debt I don't need to repay. If you try to call any of these numbers back, the recording says "non-working number". Tell me again why I can't file harrassement charges?????

Again I refuse to answer numbers I don't recognize if its verizon tough s*** your wasting your time pay day is the 1st you won't get it until I do.

Got two calls two days in a row. one from this number and one from 412-567-6296. they call while I'm at work and leave no mesage so I am not able to answer. If it is Verizon Wireless, my bill was less than 10 days late.
Also, collectors are not supposed to leave messages. They can't determine that you are the only person checking voice mail.

verizon calling to get past due balance. no message left just shows up as a missed call. also calling from 412-567-6296

I'm not late and using two different number...also with no message is against the FCC laws of collecting...it is called harassment by telecommunications....filed a complaint with the FCC on the idiots...

guessing it's Verizon collections...repeated calls from this # as well as 412-567-6296, which is supposedly Verizon.P
