I subscribed to the Public Opinion, a newspaper in Chambersburg, PA for the Black Friday ads. They were having a special were you could get Thurs-Sun. paper for the upcoming Christmas season. I thought it was a good deal since I am a bargain shopper.  I do not read the paper any other time, and if I do it is only to get coupons in the sunday paper.  Anyway, a few months later I got a phone call from this number, and as everyone else has said. I gentleman that is completely rude and aggressive.  I tried to tell him nicely that I only wanted it for Black Friday.  I am not a mean person but this is the third time this guy is calling me after two additional times of telling them No.  Get the point dude.  Just subscribed to the do not call website and hope that this helps. I will be writing to my local paper as well.

I have a new number the tribune has called me atleast a 100 times in the past 2 months, they are worse than any bill collecter could ever be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This number continually calls my home phone. I answered once, and it was someone from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette attempting to sell me a subscription to the paper, and was a high pressure and rather demeaning sales pitch. I told them to please add me to their internal do-not-call list. They continue to call despite my request for them to stop calling.

Skipping forward about a week, today I received a voicemail message on my home phone, it's just typing in the background, and about 5 seconds of breathing heavily into the phone. I tried calling back, however it rings about 6-8 times, goes to a voicemail greeting that says the voicemail box is full, and when I press "0" to go to a main menu or options, the voicemail system says, "are you still there, goodbye", and disconnects.

Thank you so much!! I just added my mobile number to the Do Not Call List.  Hopefully it works.  I never would have thought of that option so thanks a million!

I just started receiving these weird calls.  Same story as everyone else.  Calls several times a day, when I answer no one is on the line, when I don't answer, they leave no msg.  When I call back, it does not connect.  So weird! I am worried its some scammer.

Although I do have the Post Gazette and was recently cancelled that free Monday - Sat paper and just get my Sunday paper now.  So freaking weird.  I hope that this isn't some crazy scammer but also it is sooooo annnoying! I use my cell phone for work so I have to keep it on all day.  Annoying!

I get at least 1 call a day,7 days a week from this number with no message.LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

Well, it's the end of July and they are still at it.  Wonder if it does any good to send reports to the attorney general about these things.  We have nothing to do with the Post Gazette and live in a totally different part of the state.  Just don't answer when it comes up on our caller ID, but it is annoying as they keep calling.

I ANSWERED a call yesterday which said I had a balance due to the Post Gazette after the 'trial' delivery I signed up for at the 2011 car show had ended (I gave $30 for 3 months).  They continued to deliver for the next month or two.  When i spoke to the actual person, yesterday, I asked why the PPG would put themselves at financial risk by delivering an un-ordered subscription & they said that I'd agreed to delivery until I cancelled.  I asked for the order that I signed, and he said he didn't know anything about that.

If I was to just be funny, I should have asked why they'd stopped delivering if I didn't cancel, but instead, I am sending the post gazette a bill.  there is a sticker on the inside of the paper slot side of my mailbox, which clearly states that "any use of the box by anybody for any reason will be charged at a rate of $1.00/day.  placement of materials inside the box indicates acceptance of these terms."

I'll advise if it gets paid.

As others, I have cancelled subscription to PIttsburgh Post Gazette and now receive this phone call constantly.  Did tell a person at this number once before that I do not wish to subscribe!

Well I got my first call from this number today, no message was left and when I call back I get no answer and the voicemail states it is full..   Just to show "whoever" it is the same courtesy they have shown us, I called the number back to to back for an hour as I have repeat dial on my phone and figured what the hell!

This number calls at least 4 times a day, caller id says Penn Hills which is the town where it originates.  Very annoying as no message is left.

This is the Pittsburgh Post Gazette calling. I will never buy their paper again.

Post Gazette is calling and if you are as enoyed as me I would just boycott them.

Get the same call every day about 3 times, even answered it a couple times and no one was on it.  pretty sure it is PG, im definitely done with them now.

On Saturday 4/9/11 12:30pm I finally answered this call and actually got to talk with someone...  It is TelStart Inc., 601 Davidson Road, (Pittsburgh, PA metro area).  They do telemarketing and collections for a number of newspapers.  They were calling to get me back on my local newspaper, that I did not renew back in January (far from Pgh and not Post Gazette).  I'm sure the calls are computer dialed, so if all reps are busy when you pick up - no one answers.  Complaining to FCC or FTC may not help if you have or had(?) a "business relationship" with the company represented.  Could try registering with the "Do Not Call" list which I believe takes up to 30 days to go into affect, but again, if you have a "business relationship" with the company the Do Not Call list technically does not apply, but it might work???.  I haven't researched enough to find out how to end the "business relationship" so that these avenues clearly apply.

Post Gazzette is like some type of organized crime. They keep calling my twelve year old!

This person or people call me at least 3-4 times a day and they dont ever leave me any messages and its becoming annoying. I have no idea who is it because everytime i call the number back it doesnt even ring!
