Received a call from 412-723-5160. Left me a voice mail reporting they were calling from Kaiser Permanente. Said they had a message for me that many customers had found useful, and to call back at 1-877-449-1682. Previously in the day I had ordered a prescription refill for Kaiser on line and contacted them via phone so this is very disconcerting.

HIGHLY Doubt it.
I called Kaiser and they don't know anything about these telephone numbers.
I spoke with a rep. in member services who stated....
"Member Services will not and DOES NOT LEAVE AUTOMATED MESSAGES."
FRAUD. They don't know either of these numbers:
877-449-1682
412-723-5160
The automated deal when you call will keep asking you questions trying to get you to say "YES"
NEVER SAY YES!!!!!!
NEVER. Even if talking to an actual person. They record your voice saying YES then use it to authorize them to charge your account x amount per month!!!!!!!!Caller: A***oles

Not Spam or a Scam
I have learned that Kaiser is participating in a low contact member calling program driven out of the Program Office and produced by Eliza Corp. They are designed to increase engagement with members who only come in once or twice a year. While some people don't care for them, they have been shown to be effective at increasing retention.

I've received the same call saying they are from Kaiser. First time they called I didn't answer but they left a message similar to what Diana reported above. The second time they called they didn't leave a message. How did they get my cell phone #???

I have received two calls from this # in one day. Since I am unfamiliar with origin I don't answer. They do not leave a message.

Same thing here. Message left saying they're from Kaiser wanting me to call back to share information that "others have found helpful" and to, "Call back, so we can share more". I think I'll contact Kaiser.

The first time they called a few days ago, an automated message was left the same as above..except I hadn't contacted them earlier in the day. Got another call today but no message.

Caller left cryptic message on home phone on 10/1/10. When I called back, they wanted me to again put in the phone # they called me on, and so on. I chose to break off the call since it seemed to be developing that they'd try to get more info without divulging any reason why they called.
