10:16am PST
Automated call from "Anthem Blue Cross" with an "Important Message for Michelle ..." It wanted me to confirm my birth year.
I hung up.
On their website, Anthem Blue Cross shows 1-800-777-6000 for Individuals and Families but the number isn't receiving calls.
The accurate Customer Service number is 1-800-627-8797.
I called and talked with Matt, who confirmed that Customer Service did not log that they have contacted me. Please understand Anthem Blue Cross of California is my FORMER provider.
Matt agrees that the automated call was fraudulent and advised that it was wise that I hung up and did not provide personal information to an automated service.

The number that called me was 412-723-5999. They tried to get me to voice-confirm my name and to confirm that I wanted to hear some bogus "women's health check" message before I tried to hang up. The call wouldn't disconnect and I picked up the receiver to hear the recording give me 877-815-3706 as an "opt-out" number. Total scam.

Said it was an important health message from Anthem Blue Cross. Told to call a 1-855 number. Just ignored it.
