well these idiots are calling me at work.  at first I didn't know who they were and I didn't answer but since I have caller ID I kept seeing them come up.  I finally answered and told them to never call me at work since we have a rule against that anyway.
they are still calling me at wokr when i fall short of 1-2 days of making the car loan payment.  What idiots! Isn't there a  law against such harrassment at work?  I thought there was.

Weird seeing these messages.  I got a call from this number, I called them back and they just said they were from "Consumer Services" and were looking for Marisol [last name redacted] (which isn't me -- I have no idea who it is].  I told them they had the wrong number and they said they'd take me off the list.

I do have a loan with PNC, but I really don't think I'm late with it.  I have no issues paying, so the only lateness would be a timing issue.

I am in my 4th year of a 5 year car loan with PNC. My due date on the loan is the 11th of the month and there are a few days grace period before a late fee is charged. In the 4 years I have never missed a payment, never made my monthly payment more than 2 day after that due date, but if a weekend falls on the 11th and I cannot get to the bank by opening time the next Monday, you can bet your bottom dollar that they will call me, on my cell phone and at work. This is the worst bank to take an auto loan with, they hound you the next morning after you loan is due . One more year to go and NEVER AGAIN with PNC.
I must add that my other 2 car loans are with Toyota and Wells Fargo, no issues with them whatsoever, 2 great Institutions to deal with.

This number called and asked to speak to one of our employees. I said he was out on a call; would they like to leave a message?

The caller declined, and hanged up. I thought debtors *weren't* allowed to contact people at their place of business?!?

PNC bank is the WORST bank there is.  If your payment is ONE DAY LATE they will call incessantly.  The next time I take a loan out I will make sure it is NOT with PNC bank.

BTW, we bailed these a**holes out and this is how we're "repaid"????

Thanks Obamao!

There is not a grace period on auto loans.  If your due date is the 1st of the month, the interest on your loan is calculated as if you are going to pay on the 1st of each month.  If you pay after the first, you get charged more interest every day after the 1st and it is applied onto the final payment of your loan.  That is why that person told you you don't have a grace period.

If you're payment is due the first and you're charged a late fee after the 10th that's your grace period per a attorney we know. Next time go through your bank, ford credit or your credit union.
These are rude people. We'll never finance a thing through them.EVER.

I just want you to know this is the worst bank I have ever worked with.  They are rude when you call them, and they seem to enjoy making things difficult.  Their automated phone system is such a pain to navigate if you don't have a checking and/or savings account with them.  I had an auto loan through them, and whenever I called, I had to press 0 numerous times to get through, because they don't issue you a member number or password with only an auto loan.  This past weekend, I refinanced my car through my local credit union (much better rate and amazing customer service).  When my loan officer called PNC to verify my payoff, the associate she spoke with was so rude and condescending, and she was speaking so loudly, I could hear her on the other end of the phone.  My credit union mailed the check for the payoff, but due to the holiday, I'm sure they haven't received it yet, so they are calling me off the hook to find out where my payment is.  Last point I'd like to make: You can't just pay them online through their website if you only have an auto loan through them.  You have to go through a third-party site who takes your payment online and then sends it to PNC, which can take a couple of days for processing.  If you make your payment on the due date or within the 10-day grace period, PNC will keep calling you until the payment is received, even if you tell them you made the payment online through the third-party service.  It's aggravation you don't need, believe me.  Please get away from PNC if you can.  There are numerous reports online of people having a problem dealing with them.

I received this call today.  Said they had not received payment and I could do it over the phone with a check and it takes 3 minutes.  I said the payment was sent in and there is a 10 day grace period so it isn't late.  He said there is no 10 day grace period.  That is what it says on the coupon book.  I feel this was a scam.  I told him to call my husband and he did and told him the same thing.  My husband told him it was mailed out and not to bother us on the weekend.  I feel it is a scam still.  The person never told me who he was until I asked where was he calling from, then he said PNC in Pittsburgh.  Sounds fishy!!

Surely #PNC is a joke.... my due date was 2/14 on 2/15 they were calling me wondering where my payment was. I spoke to them and they stated there was NO grace period....who does that? EVERY bill I have ever had has been paid on time (or at least within the 10 day grace period).

Fast forward to Sunday night 2/17 at 7:40 pm EST they are calling me demanding payment?! Are you joking me? This company is a complete joke, and let's not even talk about how rude they are.

Needless to say my payment must have been recieved as of 2/19 because they stopped calling me. NEVER again will I work with #PNC bank. There business practices are beyond disgraceful.

I have an account with PNC will now be paid off in 17 months, I was going to payoff this May, but now they have started calling me 4 or 5 times a day this month.  I am not past due and have never been late, I repeat I have never been late.  However the interest on the loan was front loaded and now payment mostly applied to principle.  Could this be why they are calling??   They made their money and now want the loan paid off.  I am pissed off now and will make the payment over the next 17 months. one a month.   F'em.  I also have this new Panasonic phone that will block call with a few push of the buttons, my phone rings once telling me the call is blocked, they hear buzy signal, then my phone hangs up on them.  Beautiful thing. Phone blocks up to 30 numbers.  You have got to get one of these.

That's great...however they are in some cases breaking the law, calling before or after the cutoff times (federal law is very clear on this), harassing people who have nothing to do with the loan in question (also against the law) and making withdrawals from your account without your permission (happened to me on more than one occasion.)

I'm guessing you either work for the banking/collections industry or else are a "BOOTSTRAPS!!!11" libertarian and would condone breaking someone's kneecaps over being a day late for a $1 payment.

This call is from PNC.   My payment is due on the 12th of the month. It was moved up when they changed from National City Bank. Payed it on line before the due date,  Still called and said it was late, next month I paid the local branch CASH before the due date.  Got a late fee notice in the mail. Took 6 months to reverse the charge..     What i was told from the local Branch is National City's installment loans were sold to PNC credit card department.   They are none stop when it comes to calling even when the money has been transferred out of your checking account........This type of service has made us decide to relocate two separate company accounts and 4 personal accounts to another bank.  PNC has LOST Over  $755,000. in business from us. And we do not offer direct deposit for our employees to PNC bank any more. Most are changing.

a grace period is just that, it's not late until you have passed that second date, that's where you are charged fees. If the first date was the actual due date you would be charged a fee.

This is PNC for sure.  They call as soon as you miss the due date for your payment - mind you, even if you're still within the 10-day grace period.  They will eventually leave you a message saying they need to hear from you before 9:00PM.  So, one night, I called them and they gave me attitude about not receiving my payment.  I asked them if I was unclear about the grace period.  The woman confirmed there is a 10-day grace period but that they still consider your payment late if it's not received on the due date.  I told her that was ridiculous.  I immediately checked my bank account (Chase), and it showed the payment had come out, so I called PNC and reported that my payment left my bank account on time and that I had no idea why they hadn't received it.  Please note: if you make your payments online, the service they use doesn't send your payment to PNC on the date the payment is made.  Now, I set my payment date for six or seven days after the due date just to spite them (it still posts within the grace period).  I have excellent credit, have never been late on any payments on any accounts with or outside of PNC, and I don't feel the need to subject myself to their attitudes.
