Got one tonight....Talked for 2 secs and hung up

Who ever you are that called from this number and disturbed me....." I may not know who you are, but I will find you, and I WILL k!/) you.

it's probably a spoofed number. i received such a call too, with no answer. called back and found it a non-working verizon number. verizon has a nuisance call office - 1-877-872-2348. they'll direct you to their tracking number - 1-877-382-4357. but they're overwhelmed. the best we can do is report them to the police when it's a public safety-related issue ("there's been a rise in crime in your neighborhood, blah blah blah") and ask the lpd to put out a public notice about it. it's a dirty world out there. our brothers and sisters live like parasites on the weaker.

I received an unsolicited call from this number from some shady sounding individual offering some BS $79 chimney cleaning. When I asked him why he was bothering me he got all pissy and defensive so I hung up. Do***ebags. I hope nobody is dumb enough to give them any money.

get frquent calls from this number. never a message or do i hear anyone at the other end of the line. after a few minutes they hang up. i always try to call back, but the line never makes a connection. looked this number  up on reverse lookup and it seems to be a verizon based landline from charlemont mass. no name or address is given.

413-339-9997 just called.  Didn't get there in time.  I called back - no ring or anything.

Received phone call. Did not answer.

Have called several times in last week. Tonight the person started leaing a message in french and when the answering machine picked up they hung up.

We also got a call from a company soliciting furnace/chimney cleaning about a week ago.  My SO thought it was a good idea.  When they didn't show up and called 3 hours later to "reschedule" my SO told the guy to forget it.  Today the "company" called back to find out what happened, and the caller was told that their service was not wanted.  This evening we have gotten at least 4 calls from this number so we turned off the phones.  How does one prevent "them" from calling back?

I received a call from this number this morning. The man (in a accented english voice) began to tell me something about getting my house inspected for fire risks. When I told him I wasn't interested and to take me off the calling list he persisted. I asked again to take me off the calling list, he continued to persist. I told him he was being harassing. He continued and I hung up. I want to be left alone from all these telemarketers!~~

Two days in a row this number called.  No one spoke. It is so annoying. I will use the whistle next time.

I answered and they wanted me to have them clean my furnace.

yup! they called again. strange how the phone only rings twice before the answering machine picks up. usually it rings four times anyway. arfe they trying to controll the answering machines of the world now???

Called last night didnt answer called again just now and hung up on me when I answered.  Attempted calling number back and unable to a ring or anything ...weird

Have called several times. Finally answered, they asked for my husband, wouldn't leave a message just Hung up on me. Who is this??

I had been getting calls from 781-339-9997 same as all others , no message, hang-up etc...... and it now appears that they have moved that number to 413-339-9997! Whistle sounds like a really good idea.
