I, too, "won" a $1000 Best Buy gift card from a supposed entry form I filled out last month.  The problem is that I didn't, nor do I, fill out any forms.

I got a text from this call saying that I won a bestbuy sweepstakes for a $1000 giftcard, The hillarious part was that I haven't went to bestbuy in months and NEVER fill out their forms on the back of the reciepts. The email they gave me was something like bestbuywins.mobi (I don't recommend going, as if it was real it would obviously be a branch on bestbuy.com like bestbuy.com/redeem) AND to add to the hillarity, the code they gave me was 5555 which is ALWAYS a fake code.

Another Best Buy gift card here. Wish I knew who decided to turn my phone into a spam portal.

Text message encouraging me to log in to TwoHourCash(dot)net for a bogus cash advance, supposedly from Chase.  Another spam operation brought to you from Amherst, Mass.  Block the number through Verizon or your cell phone provider as was suggested above.

For Verizon, forward the message to 7726 (spells SPAM) and Verizon will text reply asking for the number the message came from.  Reply with it, they will send a confirm message and investigate and block if enough spam is going through the system.  You can also block the phone number on your Verizon Account website page.

I received the "Chase is offering $1500...." at 1:34 a.m.  How do they get our number! and how do we stop them?

Got the same text, only mine says to apply at "twohourcash.net". Really annoyed and irritated. I don't really dare respond saying STOP as it will probably validate my phone number with them and then the problems really start huh? I think scammers like this ought to have their fingers chopped off.

Received. Text message from the number 413-362-9534 saying to apply for loans from your phone at easy2apply.net

Got a text message from this number at 2:30 AM PST. A snippet of the content of the message is as follows: "USA lenders have cash loans up to...". The message concludes with an obvious scam URL. I am on Verizon Wireless.
