lol, that is a service on the internet called "wheres my cell phone"   if you google that you can got to the site and enter your phone number and it will call you.  Someone could have put your number in and clicked "make it ring" by mistake or a joke.  If it is a joke i am laughing harder than the person who did it I am sure!!  Such a huge reaction!!!!

I received a call from this number. I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer.  This forum solved it for me.

Glad to see this is a legitimate service but it still worries me. I received a "good morning" text from a family member to which I responded in kind. About 1 minute later my phone was called by this number.

I did not receive a follow-up text from my family member and she has not responded to any other texts I sent. This is unusual.

I am now worried her phone may have been lost or stolen, or even worse, a thief was in her house and used the service to see if my phone was also in the house (we have the same last name).  This is no bad reflection upon the service but just an indication of a possible nefarious use of such a service.

Although my concerns are real I am more concerned by the number of people who have an expectation of a system, or governmental, solution to the issue of receiving this call.  Freedom and technology provide many gifts but there will always be those who will exploit them for illegitimate gain.  It's one of the costs of that freedom and advancing technology.  As so aptly stated by Benjamin Franklin "Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."  Look first to yourself, and your community (such as this forum), to solve your problems before asking for institutional relief.

This may just be a coincidence and the unintended consequences folly, but the anxiety caused by the incident is nonetheless real.

I am thankful forums like this, and technology, are available to help us work together to solve these issues rather than relying on some authority to do it for us.

It is the company "Wheres My Cell Phone". When I cant find my phone I go to their website - enter my phone number and it calls my phone. So chances are if you are getting calls from this number at all hours of the night or you just dont know why, it is because 1) someone mistyped their cell phone or 2) someone is entering your phone number to harass you.
I dont think it is the service that is the problem, it is the people entering in your number, which you cant control.

if you go to http://www.wheresmycellphone.com/dnc you can block your number so other people can't use them to harass you.

Event Reminder
This is an automated call from "Where's My Cell Phone?".  Somebody who misplaces a mobile phone can enter the phone number on this site, and the site will phone that number; the idea being that the caller can then locate the phone by the ringtone.

Unfortunately, anybody can go to the site and enter any phone number they wish, meaning that you could be getting calls  requested by somebody who's entering random numbers, who wants to harass you, or who entered the wrong number.

If you get repeated calls from this number, and you aren't requesting them, contact them, and they'll add you to the blacklist so that requests to phone your number will be ignored.

Hey! Yes, other posters are correct. It's from "Wheresmycellphone.com" Harmless, in fact, I was suspicious of who was calling from 413....forgetting totally that *I had just gone to that site this morning* to find my cell! (DUH) Great service for finding misplaced cell phones, free, been using it for years.  Chill out...Most likely you or someone in your household used it to find their cell, didn't recognize the # and tried to call the number back. Put your verbal weaponry aside. Breath deep, and try not to lose your cell phone anymore ;)

This is, as others have stated, an online service or app you can use to make your cell phone ring if you have misplaced your phone.  I have used it several times as I have a bad habit of absentmindedly laying my phone down, not thinking about it at the time.  If your phone is receiving calls from this number, either someone typed in their number incorrectly on the website or app, or you are being pranked by someone.  Block the number, either with your phone or through your mobile provider.

I use this service all the time-- wheresmycellphone.com I think is the web site. you put in your number and it calls you back so you can find your phone. Great for people like me who have no home phone. I don't know where people are getting it's a debt collector or spam calling. It's a great service and I use it at least once a month and have never had an issue with harassing call backs or anything.

If you get a call from this number, don't worry! There's a website called http://www.wheresmycellphone.com that people use or find their cellphones when they can't find them. I've used this free service to successfully find mine. Don't worry, the website doesn't store your number. They arent scam artists trying to get your money. No one from this number is after your money! You only called it a scam because that was your first thought based on no evidence whatsoever. Too many people worry too much. So calm down lol. You're too paranoid as well.

Judy is not lazy...these other idiots who are probably "under some influence" that they can't find their cell phones are more than "lazy."  Let's see...we did this in a group home for the mentally challenged.  Purchased "velco" adhesive strip kit.  One piece on the remote and one piece on the TV.  How 'bout that genius!  "SHEESH"

For a week?  11:43AM; 12:22AM -- 3 late night calls last week and two last night and two 2 weeks ago.  As you probably know when you call back the #, a message reports, "you have reached a # that is no longer in service."

Our state is protected by such scams.  Reporting and hope to receive my $3000 fee from the state that will be charged to Miss/Ms/Master/Mr or whatever 413-397-2057.  Internet also droned over the location.  They are heading your way to collect.  Good Morning So. Deerfield, MA

Received robo call first with a message that was incoherent followed by a call from this
number.  The message was "thank you for using find my cell phone.com.  Considering I was asleep
when the original call came in, it would have been impossible for me to contact any web site. This
is obviously yet another scam that we consumers will be paying for.  When I attempted to call
the listed number, the call would not go through.  Have a great day you scam artists may you
receive exactly what you deserve.
