Well I guess I am in good company...I received the email from a Rodrick Godbolt, deaf and got my number from a google! Also asked to order $327 of men's fragances and toning lotion but woudl NOT expect me to send the product until the oney was sent. Product was to be sent to GA also same name as SAD! I have not heard from him again...I also replied to give good custome service....have law enforcement connections so if I do get a check ot MO they will be getting it all!

received a text saying i am interested in purchasing Mary Kay Product email me on roderickgodbolt65@gmail.com so i can send you my order list,waiting to read from you. i emailed him and he also said he was deaf so we had to email and asked me for 3 of each colognes to be sent to a Janel Robinson in GA. i emailed her back yesterday with a total but have not yet received a response. I did indicate in my email that I would need to wait for the check or momey order to clear and was very specific with the amount to be received...

Wow, I had a feeling something was up about this number once I received a text message from another number that seemed to be from a different person about the same Mary Kay order. It's sad that these people are so desperate to scam people out of their money that they will try absolutely anything to steal from those of us who actually put in the work to support our families. At any rate, I would like to share some of the info that I received from this number. I received messages from 2 different e-mails and 2 different telephone numbers about the same order. In one of them the person had the nerve to quote scripture and say a prayer which just aggravates me even more. I got an e-mail from a Mandy Raposo - mandyraposo@mail.com and a Hailey Wood - haileywood73@yahoo.com. The 2 numbers used are (413) 397-2756 and (424) 279-8561. What prompted me to look up the number was when in the last e-mail I received they asked me to make a wire transfer once I received the money order for the order because who ever was sending it supposedly sent too much money and they needed me to wire the rest to an orphanage!!! Really???

I recieved an text from this number stating they were interested in purching MK products and to email them at mandyraposo@gmail.com. I wasn't sure if this was legit or not. I emailed only my MK information and mothing personal. I don't have time to deal with fraud. I am a legitamate Consultant and I don't need this bs.

I just got the same message and suspected that something was up.  I'm so glad that I searched here and found all of your posts.

I got two text messages from the same number 413-397-2756 saying he wants to buy Mary Kay Products and to reply to roderickgodbolt65@gmail.com and he's waiting to "read" from me instead of hear from me.  What's really odd is the second text was around midnight! Not a way to do legitimate business...

Caller sent me a text message and said that she was deaf so she couldn't call. Then she sent an email.  Said her name was Mandy Reposo and said she wanted items mailed to her "cousin'

WOW - you all rock!  I ALSO got similar text message and there actually was a name that came back - Mandy Reposo.  She said in her email that she is deaf and would send a money order too.  She wanted the items for a cousin's birthday!  What doesn't make sense is that all items were men's cologne except a Hand and Decollete cream.  POOH - I thought it was too good to be true :(  So sad people are so crappy doing this.  Probably cause most consultants really want to help!!!

I had the same person send me the same message.  Wondered why she didn't order from website?  No response.  Most likely a scam.

I just also recvd text from this number asking me to email to receive MK order..said to email to mandyraposa@mail.com...going to send # to MK corporate...and report there too.

I just recieved a text from this number as well. I asked how they got my information because I like to know where my referrals come from and told them that they could just go to my website and place the order. Never heard back.

I received a text from this person.. I texted back saying to register on my website and can make order there..Minutes later resent me same exact text.. Like if its a machine just randomly sending them. This is scary, I just opened my new website two days ago and am already regretting it

I just received the same message and I will be reporting it to the legal department.  The latest scam is they will pay for it up front with stolen unreported c/c by the time the c/c realizes it you are out the money and the product. Change your em passwords if you responded to this person.  Seller beware!!!!

I also received emails from this number requesting a list of Mary Kay items.  I sent an itemized list of the cost. Then I received an email stating they sent a money order for over $1600, when I sent a list of $334.06. I sent a text asking why they would send so much over the amount I quoted. From the beginning I felt it was a scam. Just got another text say mo was sent, will take it to the police station once I recieve the UPS package.

I also got a text from this number.  He gave me a list of items he wanted to order. I told him I would have to have payment up front as I could not place such a large order without payment. As soon as I received his response about too much money being sent I knew this was a scam. He asked me to respond and I did not and haven't heard from him in several weeks so I thought that was the end of him. I just today received a check and 2 money orders via over night mail.  The total is over $4000.  I then received an email asking that I cash these and send the difference (keep the money for the Mary Kay) to an address in Wisconsin.  I'm sure both the check and money orders are fraudulent, and I will be turning them in to my local law enforcement along with the emails I have received.

I also got a text from this person and sent him an email. He claims he is deaf but wants to order multiple colognes for his cousins 35th birthday. over 300 worth of cologne. Does not make sense but yet claims he wants to make payment before the transaction.

They asked me to email them at the following address:  sm49816@gmail.com

I got a text from this number asking to order Mary Kay products.  Looked up the number and found tons of reports on this one.  Mine is just another report.  
Is anything ever done about these reports?  Thank you.

Just received the same message.  I sent them my info.  Haven't heard from them.  Curious, I did a search where this number is from.....I have Customers in the Military, so it is not uncommon to receive text from numbers I don't recognize.  I guess I should have done this search before I sent my info.  I will post if anything happens.  Pink hugs!

I just got the same tm. I told them to order from my website and gave them my MK email address. I just checked on InTouch and there is info about this sort of thing under "Resources" "Legal" "Protecting Your Business From Fraud". It's good to read because this person may still try to place what may seem like a valid order with a credit card. Please read the info on In Touch before filling it.

That's a scary thought. I hope you reported it. I got the same message, but my number is listed on my PW.

Same thing happened to me today, I did not email nor attempt anything, Ive never had this happen to me so I took caution to look up the information. Seems like a scam!

I got a text yesterday from the same number. BEWARE!  I texted back that in order for me to give them the great customer service they deserve, I would need to speak by phone. No response.

I received the same text message from this number and just responded back that I would be happy to take their order but payment must be received and cleared before you will receive your order. Needless to say I have not heard back from the person.

I also received a text last night. It was proper english and made sense (unlike most scams) so I hesitated to ignore it, but my gut says just let it go. I feel bad if it's a legitimate person trying to place an order, but they obviously found my website, so they could have just placed the order there...I'm not risking myself or my business.

i just received the same text about purchasing Mary Kay.. i sent them and email but then realized it might be a scam so i changed my password to protect myself.. i went against my better judgement in responding. I sure hope I dont regret this.. =(

I just got a text from a # I didn't know asking to send them an email to purchase MaryKay. I sent an email and then went back to look at it, and researched the #, and it is some sort of scam what should I do? I am afraid they will have access to my email and cell phone now!
