I received a similar message yesterday. I got a hold of Google, tracked down the internet phone number, and called the authorities. This person will soon be hunted by the Feds and required to answer for his/her crimes of attempted fraud - a felonious offense. This jerk is looking at 10 years. More if they can connect him/her to a successful scam. I give him/her about 48 hours...

Was selling something on craig's list. This number texted me about buying my item. Wanted to send me $5,000 via Paypal right away without even seeing the item in person or test driving it.Said he lived in Massachusetts and would give me an extra $500 to have the item shipped to him. I asked if I could call him to work out the details he said his ear hurt and could only text. When I questioned why he would give $5,000 to someone over the internet he said he didn't have time to waste and asked for my address. I told him that I was not comfortable giving out my address he told me I was being "silly" and that I'm wasting his time. Needless to say I ended that. Walks like a scam, talks like a scam, prolly is a scam. :)
