These people called my cell phone and then the called my headquaters of where I work.  This was crazy because I NEVER put down the number of our headquarters.  They are saying I'm going to be arrested for fraud and they know everything about me.  They know my address, work information and my social security number.  

This was just so embarrasing that they called my work expecially when they said they were from a Law Office.  This harrasement has to stop.

Yes I did and I am kicking myself. I'm going to try and get a lawyer to see if I can get my money back. I talked to the police and they called but couldn't do anything

I just got the same call from a lawfirm mathew & cohen they said they would put me in jail.  I called my lawyer

please don't tell me you really paid them, i have been getting these calls for the last 2 years. i live in new york and sent phone numbers, names,addresses of some, to the attorney state general's office. they called me, said yes it is a scam, but not too much they can do right now until they get more concrete info.  Please try and stop payment, anything to get your money back.  they called me last night, told me to pack my bags, cops were coming.  i am still waiting.  please don't give them anything.  they get the info when you apply on the internet for credit cards,loans, anything that goes through a middle co, rather then a company directly.

I gave them 1400 dollars cause they said I would go to jail if I didn't pay. DON'T listen to them. This is a SCAM

I have received a call from these people every week since the first week of Jan, always explaining the same charges against me..this time they said they were Matthew and Cohen legal associates...which is a law firm in Chicago Illinois..they are calling from Massachusettes!!....this is a scam and I don't knwo how these people can con continue to harass people on an hourly, daily or weekly basis with no consequences!!..This is ridiculous something needs to be done..these people are calling peoples jobs people can loose their job over this!!

they keep calling for a Mari and i have told them time after time they have the wrong number, one man said i was not telling the truth and i was Mari. I told him to stop calling my number i also call the number back and the person who answer the phone said he would stop the calls, and now its starting again. when i call this time he said the law office of Matthew and Coleman

I received a from this number speaking about legal matters and I was being sued. I asked for what and they guy tells me what do I mean what I have not been informed about this matter and proceeded to put my on hold to speak with his manager I hung up and immediately looked up the phone number and saw this information. As many times as the number has called they have never left me any voice mail.

I recieved the same call from an Indian or Middle Eastern guy with thick accent threatening that if I do not have a hired attorney or me to call him back, that I will be sorry? It comes up on my phone as 011-413-835-4855. He used an American name Mike Thompson. Where's the FEDS ? Should they be checking on this? Should they be reading this post and investigate it? It could be a terorrist attack! I do not owe anyone that I'm not aware of. Even if it is a legit company anyone owe, real company will not threat you in such a way ! They know my information. How can we stop this scumbag?

Claims to be a lawyer and calls my home, cell AND work place. Say's I need to get an attorney. I have told them to stop calling and hung up on them and they keep calling back!!! What the hell good is that Do Not Call List!???!!! I have had it with these &%#@!@!!!"S!

Same thing I told him the first time that I knew it was a scam and not to call back. he did repeatedly and even left a message that I am giving to the police dept. Call back or else is a terroristic threat I belive.

I got two calls on Wednesday (at 12:34pm & at 7:55pm) from this number, like everyone else it was an Indian or middle eastern guy with a THICK accent, said his name was Mark Lawson. Calls from this number ALWAYS goto my voicemail :). He stated that he was calling regarding a time sensitive item and would not say what it was. He then started to get angry and told me to call NOW!! He threatened to call my employer, bank, & ALL of my family relations. He mumbled a privacy act number as well as a state county city code. Then he called again yesterday at 5:24pm from a different number and name (Mark Williams) threatening the same things. Said he was calling from the National Client Investigation Bureau. I've Googled the name and it came up with  Joseph Moura - National Investigation Bureau - Stoughton, MA, www.nationalinvestigation.com/joseph-moura.html.

I am filing a complaint with the FTC, everyone should do the same.

Telling me I have a payday loan not paid they will not give me any info. In the state of Florida you are aloud to get it in writing the company name,address,and any contact info. It is a scam think they would actually know the laws before they try to pull a fast one.

I am rreceiving calls from this number this morning and afternoon saying I will be sorry if I don't call back.  Dialing my place of employment and cell phone.  Both involving an indiviudal with a thick indian accent.  Stating if I don't return the call or if my attorney doesn't call them back.. "a situation unfolds on you".  The call is very threatening and disturbing. I too experience a lot of noise int he bakground, and I could hardly even understand what he was saying.  I repeatedly ask not to dial this phone, and you have the wrong number.   I have reported this information and will have this investigated. I too would like to know what is being done about these scam artists.  How do they obtain your personal information.

Received a call from this number this afternoon saying I had committed check fraud and was going to be arrested within 24 hours and jailed for 7 days, then have to appear before a judge.  What the hell?  Scary thing is they knew my bank acct no, soc sec no, everything about me. He then said he worked for a law firm and that I would owe $8,400 in fines.  I have heard of these scam/extortion rings before and have had 2 others with the same thick Indian accent and a lot of noise in the background, I could hardly even understand this guy who gave me a very American name, definitely not Indian descent.  I'm sick of this, how do they get our numbers, especially cell phones which aren't listed in any phone book?
