"john harrison" from a company called summit (supposedly) called up looking for one of my engineers.  95% sure this a recruiter.

Claimed to be "Tim Lewis" from "Summit Controls" looking for someone named "Shawn".  He had just called someone else here asking for "Matt".  I guess he's a recruiter trolling for names.

Claimed to be "Josh" from a company called Windsor looking for a design engineer that he needed some drawings from.  He has a pretty smooth line going, said he needed them urgently because he is leaving for China.  Pretty sure he was a recruiter.

Claimed to be "Matt Crawford" from "Summit Controls".  Was supposedly trying to return a call from our "drives specialist".  He kept asking me to list off names of people that he may have spoken to.  Sounds like a recruiter to me...

Matt or so he said,  called and was looking for the engineer who had called him about a project.  Matt said he did vibration and shock work but had no information on the project he was calling about.  Returned the call and received an answering maching.  Must be a BAD head hunter.

Guy called said his name was "Lee Thompson" from Thompson Industrial/Machining...put him on hold and he hung up and called back and we patched him through to our HR mgr because she thought his processes of asking for info was shady...so she took the second call. He then said his name was "Matt Stevens" from Windsor Fabrication.  Was beligerant and completely unprofessional when my HR mgr was TOTALLY onto his game.  He is a slick willy.  He kept fishing for names.  BAHAHAHAHAHAHA didn't work here..JERK!

someone named Tim Johnson called from this number asking for jay/joe...

There is a Joshua Wade in Anchorage Alaska who is on trial for torturing and murdering two women by the federal government, one of the victims is, or was my cousin Mindy SCHLOSS.

Please forward your information to the Anchorage PD or to the federal prosecutors who will be trying this case in October 2009, it may help the case and get this guy convicted.

Lee called from Thomas Machining, said he was in Franklin, Wi and had a message to call my shop floor supervisor, didn't remember his name. Just kept asking for names. I said my shop floor supervisor wouldn't be calling anyone, a project manager would be, wanted their names. The call was so fishy and I wouldn't give out ANY names. He told me he was a machine shop and the call was about sending them work, which made my feelers go up even more. We barely have enough work to keep ourselves busy, let alone outsource. I refused to transfer him and did not give names.

second time around for me with this guy.  this time he's "nick crawford" from windsor engineering.  f****r's persistant, if nothing else.

Mark Crawford from Summit Tools looking for every engineering name in my group to see if one "rang a bell".  I told him I would ask around and have whomever called him get back to him.  He gave this number and noted he would be in a lot of meetings throughout the day.

Called looking for Materials manager.  I said he was unavailable and he pressed for the manager's boss' name.  Claimed he was Josh Schloss...  
rude and insolent... I put him on hold until he hung up.

On 7-15-08 he called me stating that someone from our office left a message for him aking for information but the message was garbled and could I give him the names of the personnel in the office and he would see if any of the names matched up with the one on the message. I gave him 2 names but he pressed me for more. After some time I told him he seemed to be "fishing" and he said that he didn't have a pole in his hand. We ended the conversation when I told him I would not give him phone numbers but he could leave a message with me I would try to locate the person that called and have them call him back. He did call the 2 names - they were aware of my phone call and did not give him any additional information.

Another rude call by a guy calling claiming to be returning a phone call.  Most definantly a headhunter attempting to build an org chart of my company.

Person called claiming to be "Tim Lewis" from an engineering firm.  Had team information and was probing for additional names and contacts.  Claimed he got a call from "Matt" and wanted to get in touch with him (although there is no Matt on our team).

This recruiter was down and dirty, and quite a jerk when I wouldn't provide him with information.  Pressed hard wanting immediate information because he was "leaving town".

This number called me - asking for an employee - claiming to be the Eng Mgr at Summit Engineering. He was very rude.

Just got a call from Tony Lewis from "Summit Software." He said someone called about a .NET issue, but the name was garbled; he thought it was Matt. No Matt here. He was pushing hard for the contact info for the person in charge of our developers.

A client of mine called and an engineer here answered the call. Client stated that someone was calling them back because a "Joe" called them from that number last week.  The client assumed it was our engineer who is actually named Joe, so she gave them my number.  The person called stating he was "Dave Stevens" from "Summit Software" and said he was returning Joe's call.  I explained that Joe was on the phone, and asked if I could help.  He rudely asked who I was, so I again said my name, then he (again rudely) asked for my last name which I did not give, instead I asked what this pertains to, so he laughed and asked if my name was a secret.  So I muted him till he hung up.

Called claiming to be David Hayes, looking for people in our company using various excuses as "Someone called for support with a C# question", "Someone left a message looking wanting to grab a cup of coffee".

This person called my company claiming to be "Tom Johnson" from Summit Manufacturing.  He was asking for information/names on people who work here.
