These people call 10x a day and leave monotone vm messages in an attempt to collect a debt...I call it harassment.

I get calls from this number and another WI number, supposedly both Kohl's, but don't have an account with them.  And if it WERE actually Kohl's and calling for a legitimate reason (past due bill, etc.) don't you think they would talk to you?  Or leave a message?  No one is EVER on the other end if I do pick up, it's an immediate hang up.  If I let it go to VM, there's a pause, then disconnection.  If it were Kohl's collection department, I'm pretty sure they would identify themselves, ask for the credit card owner and proceed from there, not call 5 or 6 times a day and hang up.

Kohls.. they don't care what time or day of the week it is.

For those that want these calls or any calls to stop, get AT&T u-verse, they have a feature where you can put up to 20 numbers on a block list and they won't ring through no matter how many times they call. They will repeatably get the message, "This caller is not accepting your call at this time" and it disconnects them. Very satisfying and I know it gets them all worked up because you can log into your account and check for missed calls and you'll see they tried 10 times in an hour! Hilarious!

I know what you mean.  They've called me, no joke, twenty-seven times since last week.  Nine of those are *after* I'd made a payment and a continuing payment arrangement.  Something's obviously amiss with their automated system.

I received a call very early this morning from a debt collector representing KOHL's dept. store!!!!! It woke me up and I can't believe that they start calling people this early and especially after a holiday!!!! I am writing a letter to their corporate office!!! It is insane and I recently made a payment to KOHL'S!!! I am thinking seriously about CLOSING my account for this reason!!

can you go online go to your cell phone company website and "block" their call.    Like others have said they can call from a different number.  

They aren't supposed to call your cell phone if that isn't the number that you used, be careful who you call from your cell and if calling a company on cell phone BLOCK YOUR NUMBER  *67

Forget to use the *67 once and they have your number.

i keep getting calls from this number. Since i dont answer numbers i dont know i wait for them to leave a voice message.  But they don't so it does not help.

I get 4-6 calls every day from this number. I have no debt with Kohls and wonder what the heck they want from me? What have you all discovered?

they double billed my credit card and it defaulted to unpaid...they call from different numbers

I didn't know this # was kohls until this site. However, I paid them today and literally 22 minutes later this number called. No voicemail, nothing. Then they called again 2 hours later. I paid them so wtf.  This isn't the first time I've dealt with this bs either, I just had no idea it was kohls. I'm shredding my card once I'm fully paid off. If you're making your payments then why on earth do they keep calling but then hang up or don't leave a voicemail???? I'm ready to send another complaint to kohls corporate in which case I'm sure I'll get the same generic, we-didn't-actually-read-your-complaint response. It's b***s***.

You obviously have no idea how the Do Not Call Registry works.  Maybe you should look it up before recommending that people do this.

This is a collector--they are not bound by the laws of the Do Not Call registry, which deals with SOLICITATIONS.  Also, if you've done business with a company in the past (even if it's something like a free trial), they can still call you as there is an expectation that you may want to do business with them in the future.

I have called 4 times today, 7 yesterday. I asked them to stop and the guy at the other end of line said get used to it!  Unprofessional to say the least.

Kohl's - I just cancelled my card after 6 calls about a late payment of 27 dollars and a penalty of 25.They wanted me to pay prior to my next montly bill. For $25 they can wait.

Don't Call Me again

It's Kohl's...but even after you tell them you have sent the check, they don't even allow 2-3 for delivery/posting and will call you EVERY day sometimes 2 and 3 times, even after you have talked to someone. Or sometimes it is just an automated call which is really annoying since you have already sent the check!!

I signed up for a Kohls charge card at Christmas to get that extra percentage off my big order. I do not owe them any money, yet they keep calling me. This morning, a holiday, they called me while I was still sleeping.  I'm cutting this card and blocking their number.

until you actually file they will keep calling.  Bottom dwellers all of them.
