266-7427 cannot be a call from children's hospital. med-health financial collects on behalf of children's hospital as they are a 3rd party collection agency. the hospital themselves send numerous statements prior to sending an account to collections. med-health doesn't only collect for froedtert or children's hospital. they do collections for other providers as well. bottom line, you wouldn't be in this situation if you would just pay your bills. trying to dodge payment for services rendered to you, your spouse or child is pretty sad knowing you went to them to seek medical attn. providers treat patients in good faith, hoping to get paid in good faith as well (in a timely matter). whatever ins should have paid is between you & the insurance company, not the provider of service. providers bill insurances as a courtesy to the patient. if you don't feel it's a courtesy, then pay them in  full at the time of service & you bill the insurance yourself.  providers don't ask for you to incur bills & for one to refuse payment or run from it. how would u like it if someone owed you $$$ & they ignored your calls or told you, it's not my responsibility, someone else is responsible to pay you back. Think about it. Educate yourselves before rambling on or assuming things that aren't even true.

I don't return calls if people don't say who they're with or why they're calling, nor do I answer my phone to numbers I don't recognize. Guess I won't ever be speaking with "Kathy."

Yes, the caller was from Froedert/Childrens Hospital. Very nice sounding woman, young perky voice, asking me to call her about a personal matter. No name of business or reason...just Mindy and a sorta sexy good buy

These people call my cell phone...and left message this is April...I have an important message in reguard to you children and she says my kids names...I think oh my what happened...so I call back!! Really!!! Bill collector! Give a mom a heart attack!!! Unexeptable!!!!

They cannot disclose the existence of a debt to a third party (who may be listening to your answering machine). This is to protect your privacy.

Collecting a debt is not a solicitation.

Well said Steve, well said. When I worked for a collection company I was not allowed to say what it was about. I was only allowed to say "in regards to a business matter". Sorry everyone, its usually standard policy for companys to not give out too much info over the phone.

I do pay my bills ....it's the insurance companies that often screw up....or the doctor's office bills insurance incorrectly..........

I received a message from 414.266.7427. All they said was "Please call 414.266.7427 regarding an important matter." They left no name, and no business identification!

When I called back I was shocked that it was a call from Children's Hospital. How unprofessional to leave such a message.  I always thought Children's Hospital was a class act!

So you haven't heard from them in a year, but decided to look them up on this site today and tell everyone they should call them back and verify their numbers???

I had the same problem but you just have to be patient and work with them. they were very pleasant with me and took out my number, that was about 1 yr ago and have not got a call yet. just give them the number and let them verify.....

This number calls 3 to 4 times a day never leaves a message. Appears to be local.

I was having trouble figuring out who "Jane" was.
Since I've been applying for jobs, I don't want to miss out on a possible interview by not returning the call. I'm slowly paying some medical bills, and I'll call them in a couple of months.

I've repeatedly called them back to ask them to stop calling me and remove me from their list because I am obviously now who they're asking for and havent had medical attention in ages, knock on wood that it stays that way. Each time they tell me that they took me off their list that very same day (before I even call), then they of course call again. So I b***h at them right back. They act like I'm bothering THEM when I call! I told them I'm logging each time and not deleting the missed calls from my phone. If I get another call I'm taking action.

If you guys actually googled the company you'd see it's a collections agency for the hospital.  You owe them money for going to the doctor.  It's against federal law for anybody to give out financial information or HIPPA information over the phone.  So before you go all crazy "contacting state reps", maybe you should pay your bills?  Just a suggestion.
