Man named matt.  Yelling practically at me when I have no debt!  He kept demanding to speak with another person in my household and I live alone.  This company should go under.

they called at 7 am which is in CLEAR violation

Just called me at 9:41 Eastern.  Also a violation.  I think it is collection on student loans.

Van Ru -- a collection agency with questionable practices. They have tons of phone numbers, call all hours of the day and night, refuse to honor requests not to call, ask for social security number information, and at times, call repeatedly.

They called my job asking for my SSAN and if this was a government installation, they even called the Union where I'm a union steward looking for me. Don't know how they new I was a union steward or to even have the nerve to call my Union. They hung up on them anyway. They also have people calling from the local area as well.

We've received several calls from this number requesting SSN or birthdate. Of course we don't supply the info. Caller identified herself as "Sara" without any company information. Does anyone know how to stop this caller?

i saw this number on my cell caller i.d.(by the way, i never answered this call, i ignored it and i'm glad i did!!!) - then did a google, found this site and read the others posts, and decided to post as well...thank you!!!.

Recv'd a call from this number and they wanted information regarding my college age daughter about student loans.  I informed the person that I paid my daughters student loans and they said they would look on their computer to see if they showed it otherwise they would need more info.  He then indicated that he couldn't get his computer to work and would call me back.  I reitterated to him that she has no outstanding loans and then he hung up.

It's a collection agency. They called and wanted my SSN. would not tell who they are. I hung up and searched for this number. Came up with "Van Ru Credit Corporation"  11745 West Bradley Road  Milwaukee WI 53224
