Got my last notice today from Healthy cooking/Taste of Home. They sent me 1 magazine for Healthy cooking that I did not sign up for and then sends me this stuiped letter saying: "you requested a subscription for Healthy cooking. We sent our magazine to you on the good faith and understanding that you would honor the invoice and pay it promptly. We'eve kept our part of the bargain, but so far we have not received your payment. We're concerned. Is there some problem we don't know about? If so, we would apprecaite it if you would let us know so that we can do our best to correct it. Otherwise, I must ask that you pay the enclosed invoice immediately. If we do not receieve payment within 15 days, we will turn your account over to our credit and collection department. A reply envelope is enclosed for your convenience." WTF? These people are nuts if they think i'm going to send them $10.00 so that they can sign me up for a years subscription to Healthy cooking. If you were dumb enough to send them the money, they in turn will say, "well you signed up". What a f*cking scam.

Received a bill in the mail for subscription to Taste of Home which I never signed up or heard of.  I tried to call the customer service number 414-423-3100 as stated in the letter with the bill but couldn't get connected.  Don't know how they got my name and address.  Since I cannot get in touch with them, I will write cancel on the bill and mail it in before the first subscription in December.

We no longer want to receive the "Simple & Delicious" magazine. So we ignored their renewal notices. They just sent me a "INVOICE---3RD NOTICE" where they offer 6 issues at $12.98. They start out the letter in a nice way. However, the last paragraph reads this way:

"This is the LAST NOTIFICATION you'll receive before we're forced to classify your account as delinquent, and additional collection activity becomes necessary. We don't want this to happen any more than you do..."

WHHHHHAT???? I never asked them to bill me for any more issues, and I couldn't wait for the magazine to expire!! Why are they sending me this MISLEADING renewal notice?????? So I just got off the phone with them...I screamed and yelled at them for this type of misleading wording just to get my renewal. My blood pressure is extra high after that call, and I hope they never send out letters like this again.

I noticed that at the top of the letter that the phone number is 414-423-3100. But I called the magazine directly. I hope they can do something about this.

It does not do any good to complain in text, here ... people need to get a back~bone & file complaints with the BBB ... here's the link:
http://www.bbb.org/  Just type in "their zipcode", click on "File a Compliant" (on the right) & fill in the blanks.  If, you can type a message here, you file a complaint!  Besides... filing a compliant provides someone with a job.... you're helping someone feed their family!

My Aunt has subscribed to Taste of Home for many years. My Aunt was never married and has no children, now that she is getting on in years I took over her finances. I noticed that she kept asking me to renew her subscription. I told her I was sure she must be paid up for some time. Today she brought me another request for renewal so I got out the check register and found that I had paid $19.99 to renew for two years. Obviously I was very angry and searched for hours looking for a number to call. I finally got the tip I needed from this web page. I contacted Reiman publications at 1-800-344-6913. The automated service looked up her account by name and said she was paid through August/September of 2013!!!! Now I was MAD!! I called back again and quickly got a customer service rep, who I chewed out politely and asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor was very apologetic and tried to say that the payment I sent in January only paid her up until January of 2011. I brought tohis attention what the recording said and that it also told me that her subscription expiration date could be found after name on the offer. Sure enough there was a AUG13 after her name. He then quickly amended her expiration date to that issue. I asked that her name be removed from any further advertising or offers and that I wanted only an actual renewal subscription bill with her subscription date and account number listed on the invoice. I told them shame on them for taking advantage of people through misleading advertising and that if my aunt received one more piece of this type of mail that I would take and turn it over to the NYS attorney general along with all of your complaints that I have printed out. He assured me that we would have no further problems. We will see!!!

My address has somehow been sold/given out to all sorts of places lately and I've gotten a ton of junk mail, but they were all free magazines, if annoying.

Today I thought this was more junk mail or just an offer, but instead it was "acknowledgement" of my 1-year subscription to Taste of Home for $14.98, even though I've never heard of it before.  There's a number listed at the VERY bottom of 414-423-3100 but I didn't try it since someone here said it was invalid.

Called 1-800-344-6913, went through a very annoying and too long automated process before I could finally talk to a customer service rep.  They said I'd signed up online on Jan. 13 which surprised me A LOT since -- wait for it -- I've never heard of this magazine before!

I think the rep tried to tell me I'd "only" been signed up for a free issue or something?  But that's not what this "order acknowledgement" looks like to me.  Pretty sure I would've started getting bills and collection notices.  They asked if I wanted to transfer the subscription to someone else and I had to say again to cancel the account, take me off their mailing list, everything.  This is underhanded and annoying.

The Taste of Home return address on the form was P.O. Box 5294, Harlan IA 51593.  But the place I was supposed to mail my payment to is Reiman Publications, Subscription Fulfillment Center, P.O. Box 5388, Harlan IA  51593.

Taste of home, magazine  // Reiman Publication P.O. Box Harlan,IA 51593

I have received a " bill" from your magazine now for two months.
Last time I recieved it, I returned it to you telling you I DO NOT WANT YOUR MAGAZINE  AND  WILL NOT PAY .
As far as your " account number", I have not established one and wonder how you do this.  Maybe you send the " bill" and hope people are stupid enough not to challenge them with the fact that they did not order your publication.

I am in receipt of your second attempt " Bill " for September. Today Saturday Sept 27, 2008 .

I AM  NOT PAYING THIS  AND EXPECT YOU TO REMOVE MY NAME FROM YOUR LIST.  DO NOT SEND MORE ADVERTISING OR " BILLS"   I DON'T COOK AND DON'T NEED THIS BOOK TO EAT AT RESTAURANTS OR RESORTS. I don't need to cancel this magazine since I have never ordered it.

SO...PLEASE STOP YOUR MAILINGS.

I just received a second notice for A Taste of Home mag. which I never ordered of course. And I'm having a hell of a time trying to find a phone number for Reiman Publications to call these sneaky thieves. I guess I'll just have to report this to the BBB and/or the Attorney General of PA

Today I received the magazine with a bill enclosed.  There was no number to call to even dispute it.  Just an invoice and they had all my information, it is very creepy that these people operate in this way.  I looked them up and the parent company.  They appear to be a legitimate company so I don't understand why they are pulling these below the belt tactics.  I plan on reporting this to the better business bureau and see what happens.

Got bill in the mail for subscription to Birds & Blooms. I never signed up for it or heard of it.  Still don't know or think it's a legit magazine.  Called them & after being on hold for almost 20 mins. I got to a Rep. & they said they would cancel it.  Still don't know how they got my info.  Kind of scary.
