They call regularly.  I have done enough research to know they are not who they say they are.  My husband took a call and now we have a pledge letter that I am going to just throw in the garbage.  These are call centers and you never know who is profiting from them but I am pretty sure it is not the firefighters.

Caller id said "431-0554 wisconsin call". I answered. There were people talking quietly in the background & then the line went dead. Weird!

Called cell number (which is the number we transfered from our landline)and left no message.

I have been receiving calls from this # for months.  I am & have always been on the National do not call list.  In the beginniing I would answer & the callers were rude & relentless. Now I let the machine answer but the calls continue.  My next step is to report them to the do not call office.  You can also report this to the main number which is (608)251-5832.  The real Fire Fighters office apparently don't know this is going on under their name.

Can someone tell me FOR CERTAIN that these calls are a scam? They just called me -- again -- and I told them that they're scamming and hung up on them. I would really hate to think I blew off a very worthy group. Do police and firefighters telemarket for funds? I know that years ago, there were phone calls for tickets to the Policemen's Ball (or something like that) in Milwaukee.

In any case, when I previously dialed them because their number appeared on my phone, there is either a high-pitched beep or it rings and rings and rings.....

Claims they need funding to help the firefighters union and their families as the taxes don't cover living expenses of day to day existence. Asked if I could pledge $50 or $100 for the holidays, and then wanted to send me the paperwork. Voice also claimed that state law required he know the pledge amount before he sent the papers.

At 2 p.m. 9/21/09 - Called me by my first name and mumbled something about firefighters.  I hung up.

Received a call from 414-431-0554, and the person said something about professional firefighters association, collecting money from people in Verona.  I cut him short, and told him that my good friend - the police chief from another Wisconsin town - said that neither the police nor the fire departments will EVER solicit money through telemarketing.  I then asked that they remove my phone number from their calling list.  

The caller was rude and then just hung up on me.  I have reported them to this website, to our state complaint  website and will now personally call them at the phone number that called me and politely chew them out!

I keep getting calls from 414-431-0554... once i pick up they hang up ... or stay on the line for a bit and then hang up... really annoying!

Been getting same calls over and over again.  Will drive by address in West Allis-1429 S.70 street,West Allis Wi.53214  It also under a Sports Bar

We receive a call from this number just about every week night between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.  Once it was someone representing the Wisconsin Firefighters, but most often there is no one there and just garbled noise in the background.  If we let the voice machine take the call, no messaage is left.

Got a call from this number, male voice asked for me by name,  I said it was me-- he hung up

I stopped answering my phone years ago because of the ( police & fire fighters ) I would give 2-3 times a year,Send the tickets back to have them donated to kids in need . But the calls started getting worse 6-8. To the point we would be insulting each other . Worst part was they were not police or fire fighters from my area. Thanks to caller ID. I can now pickup.

I get called from this number at least once a day. If I don't answer there is no message on machine. If I do answer there is dead silence. When I try to call the number back it is a fax machine. The caller ID says Center Stage.

Received call today asking for my spouse by his first name. Said it was for a civic goverment related issue and wouldn't talk to me. Very rude and wouldn't say anything else they just hung up then.

Just got a call today at 3:42pm. Some Habeeb calling. Asked "Is this Mrs. (Jumbled Name)?" I said "Pardon?" Then said "You must answer me now" so I hung up. I don't play around with losers like this. They're probably 3 losers who prank people and scam them & go home later and giggle while playing role-play video games. Creepy!

Called, left a 40 second message of nothing but noise in the background.

they've called several times in the last few days. the phone rings only twice and then they hang up without waiting for the answering machine to pick up.

Caller asked for me by name...I didn't respond, but asked who was calling...he said Justin...wouldn't give last name when asked and he then hung up

Received the call tonight at 6:30 from that number (May 2).

MY ANSWERING MACHING GOT THE CALL. THEY LEFT A SHORT MESSAGE. PEOPLE NOISE IN THE BACKGROUND, AND HUNG UP.  ISNT THAT SPECIAL.
