hey joshua king you sound like the people i talked to on the phone, and that makes me laugh, hey maybe you are, do you remember well you told me you were antonio montoya, yeah i still think they are a scam because if not they would be out of business fast hey they need to try different tactis dont you think well because scaring people wont work long sooner or later people would handle things like me, i got that guy really mad hey no hard feelings one way or another they broke the law bad and they should go to jail for one reason or the other. hey they are asking money maybe if they try to talk and work things out there wouldnt be that much problems

They are a scam, by law they need to contact you in writing, and give you an opportunity to respond back,  these emails and phone calls do nothing, and when you request documents by mail, they get mad, the guy hung up on me when i told him he wasnt getting a payment until I got the documents in the mail.

I have spoke to 3 different lawyers, who told me not to worry about anything,   the company is out of Buffalo NY,  they call you from a local number, but they are really in New York.

What ya also need to do is get thier address and send a certified letter to them telling them you do not want any contact from them anymore,   if they call for any other reason then letting you know that they will no longer be calling you, it falls under Harrassment.

Also report them to your state attorney generals office, also there is a spot on the fbi website also for these scammers.

ANY POSITIVE POSTS ON HERE ARE MADE WITH FAKE NAMES AND ARE THE PEOPLE TRYING TO SCAM YOU.

PEOPLE.. the top post says this is maxwell and goldberg llc i went on the BBB and there not registered,the reason why there not registered is because there a constant violator of the fdcpa law and if i owed money and they called me i would not do business with a constant violator of the fdcpa law

joshua and single mom....go to ask .com or google and type in what states are illegal for a pdl,,you will get a list of 12-15 states and that means the pdl did not have a license to loan you money(against the law) they will use scare tactics to make you pay why because they know if they do take you to court and you say to the judge YOUR HONOR I JUST FOUND OUT THIS PDL IS NOT LICENSE TO LOAN MONEY IN MY STATE..
then the judge will fine the pdl thousands of dollars and dismiss your case or the judge might just make you pay back what you borrowed which is the right thing to do..so lets say you borrowed 500.00 you pay back 500.00 minus all processing fees and interest and any payments you made and pay back what you can afford and not what they tell you to pay make sure all your utilities bills and rent is paid and you have food for your kids..do not use your personnel check to pay then because your banks name and account and routing number is on the check and they will take every dime out of your account just use money orders and if they say they dont accept money orders then you say when you do accept money orders then give me a call and hang-up you now have the upper hand on these low life sleazy lying debt collectors.

joshua..i hate to tell you this pdl does not go on to your credit report why you ask because its a short term loan only long term loans goes on your credit report and yes it does happen but all you have to do is call the credit bureau and let them know that is a pay day loan and they will remove it

Today I received a voicemail from this # and he said his name was Mr Arnold and he is from the office of Goldberg & Maxwell a pre-litigation office representing a bank establishment that I bank with... Still! He also stated he just hung up the phone contacting my father's residence which is 3 States away.. He then proceeded to say that if I don't call back that I will be getting served at my job by Monday, 5/7, for what I don't know... These people has called by job too leaving messages so that my supervisor may hear personal information and jeopardizing my job and livelihood. And parading my business to my former husband's family and my immediate family... I've emailed my local general attorney's office for assistance but hoping anyone out there can give me some advice on next step I can do tomorrow. Thanks Singlemomof4
