This company, whoever they are, is causing a lot of confusion, stress, and soon, causing possible
heart attacks, strokes, etc. they are now calling my mother with information stating that they must
get in touch with me, that I am involved in a fraud, I owe a pay day loan, and I will have a warrant on
me, and be arrested at my home, or my place of work????

What is this?  They should be stopped.............the majority of the callers sound Indian, Pakistan, or
Arabic.

Fell for this two yrs. ago, made payment, still getting calls.

I have been receiving threatening telephone calls also, from this number, they also got the nerve

to call my mother's home as well, my mother is 74 yrs. old. she has no business being alarmed with
false information regarding my involvement in a scam, for identity threft, and threatens to have me
arrested for fraud, Threatens to have me picked up at my residence or my place of employment.  Yes,
I do have debts right now, however, I am presently unemployed.  They have no idea what they are
doing to people by scaring them, possibly cause a heart attack, stroke, etc. when they hear news
like that not even news, just making false statements.  Just to scam people, I did that before, fell for
it, regular story, I owed a payday loan, etc........made three payments of $125, after final payment,
was told that I would get a pin number that would be used to show that I made my payment in full,
towards my credit report, Lie, nothing happen, still getting the calls, and threats, it's becoming annoying,
I am going to file report with the Inspector General's Office, and District Attorney's Office, as well as
with my phone service provider, for myself and my mother.

Their name isn't Brunson & Associates.  Only one listed online is an Auction company in Mesquite, TX.

Wish you'd put the exact words they used in their threat.  Some of it sounds similar to some companies in Orlando that have tried to pull the "civil action" card.  Of course, after a while, it goes to "federal warrant"...

Try this! I've found it effective with the fools that were calling me.  The really do NOT want you to be in control of the conversation.  They want control and to try to intimidate.  (Think of the 2 year old throwing a temper tantrum...and you completely ignoring him/her. -- Same principal.)
:
IF you choose to speak to these people, here are some suggestions:

They call, you recognize the # (probably to say "legal documents to deliver")?You answer the phone, they ask for the person (maybe) ?BEFORE THEY HAVE TIME TO SAY ANYTHING ELSE you tell them the information you REQUIRE:
You: What is the
1-Company name,
2-Company address
3-Local telephone number of your company AND
4-Name of company?s CEO/President's name
5-What is your CCA#

Them: "Well, we don't give that out for 'security reasons.'  "
You: "I'm sure you will appreciate that, FOR SECURITY REASONS, until I AM GIVEN THE INFORMATION I REQUIRE, NOTHING you say is of ANY interest to me.  Good bye." and hang up
****

They call, you recognize the #, this one is probably a "call from an attorney's office":
1-Name of Attorney's office
2-Address of Attorney office
3-Local phone number of Attorney office
4-Name of Lead Attorney on the case
5-Bar # and State the Attorney is licensed in.
*************

They call, apparently from a 1-000-000-0000 or PRIVATE number ? this one seems to be the ?Agent ---? to tell you there is a FEDERAL warrant for your arrest UNLESS you pay RIGHT NOW?if you do, then they can pull the warrant.  [Yeah, right.]
The information you REQUIRE:
1-Name, rank, BADGE number
2-Name of Law Enforcement entity they?re with
3-Unit/Department/Division of the Law Enforcement entity they?re with
4-Address and main switchboard number of that entity
5-Name of Head of the Unit/Department/Division they?re calling from
So you can call the person back AFTER verifying ALL the information given, and they can continue the conversation.  (roflol, as you can imagine, they?re not going to give ANY of that info out either ? probably ?for security reasons.?)
*****

If they call back, answer the phone with: "Are you ready to provide me with the INFORMATION I REQUIRE?"
If they start saying ANYTHING other than the information YOU REQUIRE, HANG UP.

This may be a situation of "shampoo, rinse, repeat" a few times, until they figure out YOU MEAN BUSINESS AND NO MEANS NO!

ROFLMAO...that's hilarious!  They actually expect someone to call and tell them their home and work address???   Sounds like they need to hire better skip-tracers, etc. and do more work!

The whole "going to serve you with fraud charges....federal warrant out for your arrest...etc" lines are SOOOO ignorant.  Why?
Think about it! if a process server contacted people and said, "hey! I need to serve papers on you." WHO would ever make themselves available?
Also, law enforcement doesn't call and tell you they're fixing to arrest you (well, unless you're rich and powerful and have a 'bad' police officer on your payroll).

Hope you and no one else fell for this!

I have gotten several calls from this number stating fraudulent charges under my name and social security number. I called my local police department, they showed no such charges under my name or address. They gave me this website  www.ic3.gov to report it to the FBI. They deal with internet crime but they also deal with telephone scams, such as this one. They have instructed me not to answer the call, call the number back, and if possible get my phone service to block this number.

I was advised by an attorney to just tell them that you re not paying anything, not one dime, to them. I told him that since they used my maiden name as the person they are trying to reach, they have information from several years ago (I got married in 2007) and I asked him about the statute of limitations. He told me not to worry about it, just tell them that I am not paying anything to them.

When they call, I am either in class and my phone is off, or I just don't answer it. I know we do not have debtors prisons in America, I do not have a job, am not on welfare or food stamps, and do not get Social Security, so I would like to see them try to garnish something I do not have. Since they do not leave a company name on the VM, I do not know if it is a true debt or not, but even if it is...I refuse to pay something from several years ago.

Not only did this recording call my job, on now this is the third occassion.  The first I was curious as to who could have me for anything any where near fraud so I dialed the number and presented the person who picked up after being left on hold for a good 10 minutes.  After all the caller was a voice mail that asked for my name at my place of business... This was very odd and kind of embarrasing seeing as calls are monitered through reception.  I relayed the so called legal number they left on the  message when I finally received an answer and the gentleman on the other end asked for my name.  So, I proceeded to ask who was calling and that I was unsure as to what this call was in reference to.  Once again, the gentleman on the other line only said "What is your name?"   I then repeated "Who is this calling?  You guys called me and I want to know what this is in reference to I am sure you probably are not looking for me."  The gentleman said "Why  can't you just answer my question and tell me who you are?"  Next thing you know the call was gone.  I immediately went to the police department told them what happend, and gave them the phone number and made out a incident report for fraud.  They called again, twice last week, and once on my daughters phone, who has nothing at all to do with my job and lives 2k miles away.  Just about 12:05, I received what I happened.

These people are with a fictious law firm calling themselves F. D Malone & Associates. They also used this number in the messages about a summons needing to be served, 855 668 5649. If you google this number as well you will go to a site that shows these people are nothing but scammers. Beware, they are very convincing but will not provide any details as to showing you who you owe or give any info as to where they are, nothing. They just tell you that you are going to be served summons and you will be arrested and extradited. Even after we confronted them just this morning, they still had the gall to leave a message telling me that they were serving me with a summons and once its done there is nothing they can do and I will be arrested and brought to court. I called the San Antonio DA and checked for warrants for my arrest and there is nothing in their files. I am filing a complaint with my police dept here tomorrow morning although I think this may be a federal case as it seems to be interstate fraud. The 414 number is Milwaukie, Wisconsin. I want to bring these people down very badly as they have harmed numerous people. They have been harassing me for over a month now.

Telemarketer
I keep getting messages with the same saying that you have fraudulent activity on your social security number. It happened to me in the passed about 10 years ago and I had a friend who was a sheriff address the issue  with them when they called me again because they started threatening me over the phone. I also called the police but they said without more info it was difficult for them to resolve the issue.  I usually don't answer my phone from that area and they usually call from the same phone number but they leave a message every time they call. I believe they are nothing but telemarketers who try to get your information so they can steal your money.

This is in fact a SCAM! I received a phone call yeserday, all the same stuff. Only I wish I would have researched 1st. I gave my card # out of fear and lack of knowledge. Didn't feel good about the situation and then googled the # and saw all thse comments. I did contact my bank to stop the transaction and cancel my card and just reported this to the Attorney General. The lady identifies herself as Jennifer Lewis and they say the company is Brunson and Associates. There are 2 Brunson and Associates, 1 in TX and 1 in AL. The one in TX is an auction and the one in AL is an attorney office but when I called them they also informed me it was a scam and that this has been going on for some time and they are perplexed by it all! Not much more I can  do at this point!

What other numbers are they calling from?
What number(s) are they giving as call-back numbers?
Has anyone gotten a name or state they are calling from? (MANY of these fake collection agencies use spoofed numbers.)

A google search for "VAA, collections" yields only a firm in London, England.

If/When they call again, try to get a call-back number and where they're calling from.  With that, maybe we can figure out who they really are.

Or, if you're just tired of putting up with them, try the method below.  THEY want to dominate the conversation.  They do NOT like it when YOU dominate it.  It indicates that you are NOT afraid.

You answer the phone, and you recognize the number... they ask for the person (maybe) ?BEFORE THEY HAVE TIME TO SAY ANYTHING ELSE you tell them the information you REQUIRE:
You: What is the
1-Company name,
2-Company address
3-Local telephone number of your company AND
4-Name of company?s CEO/President's name
5-What is your CCA#

Their response may be: "Well, we don't give that out for 'security reasons.'  "
You: "I'm sure you will appreciate that, FOR SECURITY REASONS, until I AM GIVEN THE INFORMATION I REQUIRE, NOTHING you say is of ANY interest to me.  Good bye." and hang up

If they say something to the effect of "It's none of your business", HANG UP!

It's YOUR phone! YOU are the one being called by a stranger. YOU get the information YOU REQUIRE, or simply HANG UP!  (They may call back a few times repeatedly.  If so,
2nd call: answer, HANG UP.
3rd call: Answer with "Are you ready to give ME THE INFORMATION I REQUIRE?"  ... No? HANG UP!
4th call: answer, HANG UP
5th call: Answer with "You DO realize that I have ALL DAY to HANG UP on you, right? NOW, are you going to provide me with the information I REQUIRE?"  ... No?  HANG UP!

I just got the same message everyone else has. Two fraudelent charges, I'm going to be served at home or work, I can be arrested. This is the third message in a week from three different phone numbers and voices. Do these people have a phone scam convention and then spread out across the country to do this? I've had calls from SC, WI, and TX. This is nuts and it's a bit unnerving.
