About 20 times a month this number calls, then hangs up.

Got these same numbers on my 800 phone bill. Century Link doesnt understand these calls.  They are calling into my business @ times around midnight.  We are closed and no one here!!   Starting call is on Aug. 22 @ 11.33 pm. 414-831-1002  Last call on this bill is Sept 15th @ 5.08pm.

414-831-1002 has been calling me on my 800 number, running up my bill.  There is no one  on the line.  Last month it called 40 times,  this month about the same.  It must be an automatic dialer.  Somehow my 800 number is being used as a caller.

Our company has 15 calls from this number in September.  How can we get AT&T to riverse the charges?

Changing your 800# won't work.  They are dialing them in sequence

5 calls from 410 and 1 from 248.  They are going through 800#s.  I have two dozen toll frees and they hit 6 of them.  With 6 second billing these A*holes aren't breaking the bank.  They are just agravating my people.

I tried to take this up with Centurylink and they couldn't do anything about it hitting our 800#.  So another $300 down the drain, thanks so much!

Filed a complaint with the FCC, but not sure when that will be resolved.  They told me the best thing to do is change the 800# that my company has had for 20 years!  Great!

Getting hit by this too, but not as bad as 248-536-6226. Going to start taking this up with AT&T today.

Likewise.. I suspect they are probing to get into your network via VoIP voicemail system ..i.e. phone hacking as they sometimes hit the star.. then the pound key to initiate something back from the system.. as the first step at guessing your ID and password (default codes).

I could see on my bill they called from two different numbers, but come up with a different spoof number when referencing my caller ID for that day/time.
The only thing I can do per my phone company is to simply block them... and gee. .I get 12 whole slots to do so..

I get calls at all times of the day and night.  2am, 4am , 6am then into the day.
I call the number back and I get a recording that the number I am dialing is not in service.

This is my business phone, changing the number is not an option.  what do I do.  This has been going on for months, also with two other numbers:  926-784-3255  and  248-536-6226.  these ring a little less than the 414-831-1002.

Same thing here all times of the day and night.  I am with Verizon and am trying to get Verizon to block these numbers, 248-536-6226 & 414-831-1002.  I am on the phone right now and Verizon is going to block both prefixes 248 & 414 from calling my toll free number.

Constant calls on my 800 number which I do not wish to receive

I've been getting calls on my 800# from these two numbers: 414-831-1002 and 248-536-6226. The first one appeared on my bill on July 31st.  The calls come in throughout the day and night. My bill shows length of calls ranging from 30-seconds to 33-minutes-48 seconds!  My 800# provider is ACC Business (a division of AT&T -- so I'm told) has refused to reverse the charges or block the calls.

They called me thru my relay service, leave no messages. I get several different locations calls on my relay service. I'm deaf! What's now???  I thought the do not call registry should be blocking those calls.

Same thing here, a total of 22 calls to our 800 number.

I thought it was a computer collecting data on when someone is home, but after stumbling onto 800notes,  I see that it's calling a whole bunch of 800 numbers.

Anyone have any idea what's going on? I hear a beep or a click when I answer to phone so I'm guessing its a computer generated call. But why?

Could it be someone with too much time on their hands that gets their jollies making the phone company money?

Followup: I'm back to report that my "800" host can only block caller ID numbers, NOT the 2 origination numbers! Damn it! It was suggested that I file a complaint with the FCC, which I just finished doing.

I was able to simply block both numbers through my online "800" service (kall8).
Should take care of it.

Have received umpteen calls from this 414-831-1002 to my toll-free line since 8/2/11. They've hacked my line!  Two other numbers may be associated with these hackers:  248-536-6226 & 248-536-6226.

Also receiving unwanted calls to our 800# day and night. No one there when answered. Also beware of 248-536-6226. Same thing.

Same here,calls from this number numerous times, all hours of the day and night. Our answering phone picks it up after hours so of course we get charged via our 800 line. Finally found out the correct phone number now that it is on our Tele bill. FRUSTRATION!

Got  a call from ph no. 414-831-1002 on my cell phone numerous times in the evening hours, no message left.

Don't answer it, you may get charged for usage!!!!!!!
