They have many numbers they access from. They'll even try to make it look like they are local to where you live. I believe the name they've used the one time I could get a name was SGA.

They will just keep calling and calling with the same message. They've also managed to get numbers of other people in my family, including my kids cell phones. I've been trying since at least the Spring to find out how to get rid of them.

I'm going to call them back every day and start with, "oh you sound sexy, what are you wearing"? Going to start giving them a hard time. Definitely debt collector scam, do not verify your information or give them any money, you will be sorry if you do. You start paying these scams and after your finished, another company will call you, same tactic and will use another payday loan company name.

Robo call...for another individual.
Calls her old place of employment; this has been reported to the company who has been doing the calling.
Robo calls for a process server is illegal.
They have to serve you in person.  Rude awaking if or when they show up.
Employee they are seeking has not worked here in years.
Dufuses!

I received a call from this 414-882-2174 today was a pre-recorded message needing my home or job address for so called delivery of lawsuit papers. When I looked at my caller ID on my home phone the number came up as a wireless number. I know it is a scam. I just hate these people are getting away with this crap.

This number calls me everyday and when I listen to my vm most of it is automated and it sounds like a scam to me. When I try to call the number back I just get a recording saying they're not accepting calls. Sounds fishy to me this will be reported to FTC

5 calls...  20 minutes...  1 message.  Cheesy VRU saying name/and social security number have FRAUD on them.  That, if they do not get a call back, all rights are gone.  Really?  Are you going to arrest me as a terrorist?  Of course, they don't say who they are.  The phone they give to call back matches to nothing at all.

Plus...  I check my state's judiciary search for any court cases...  NOTHING.  So, another lie.  Because a summons cannot be transmitted and issued within a few hours.  Morons.

Next.  Please get a clue scammers.

Called 5 times during a 20 minute period.  The last call didn't state who they were.  But, a tacky, 80's sounding VRU gives information about fraud/name and social security number.  And, that someone, I assume, little me...  no longer has any rights.  Really?

Needless to say...  FTC and AG are having complaints filed with them.  Bring it on.

If you go onto the Wisconsin Attorney General's Website,  this is where to file a complaint against these con artists.  I've already done it and encourage you to do the same. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

I've received a call from these scammers every day for the last two weeks. Same thing as the above complaints. I almost fell for it. What's special about my case though, is that they're addressing me as Jennifer Porter, who is the same person who stole my identity.  They claim that I'm lying that I'm not her, because it's the same social security number.  I tried to explain that she stole my identity years ago and has a history of taking loans out using my social.  They act like they've never heard of identity theft.  I told them I have a police report on file for the identity thief.  They told me to email a copy to them. They refused to give me a street address.  When I went down to the police station, the desk officer told me that any legit company would never ask to have a police report emailed to them and that they're probably scammers trying to get my personal info.  I called them back and told them all of this and they screamed at me and said that if I don't email it, I must be lying.  I told them THEY were the ones committing fraud and that THEY would be sued for harassment and attempted extortion.  They hung up immediately.  I tried to call them back to harass them and give them a taste of their own medicine, but they hung up three times.  They've called me non-stop since then, leaving more messages that they're suing me, blah blah blah.  I called them again today and asked them where they planned on serving papers at.  Idiots still were calling me the identity thief's name and said, "we don't need to give you the address".  I live in CA, and they said, "Chino Valley, AZ".  I laughed and said, "good luck fu**ers. Go ahead and serve me, but since you refuse to give me a physical address, I'll not only have you sued for fraud and harassment, but also for aiding and abetting identity theft."  They slammed the phone down on me.  I filed a complaint with the FTC and ConsumerFinance.gov. I urge you to do that too because If they're ever caught, you can use these reports against them in court.  We need to band together to get these fraud scammers prosecuted.  DO NOT BELIEVE THEM WHEN THEY SAY THEY ARE SUING YOU.  THEY ACT LIKE A LAWFIRM AND TRY TO SCARE YOU INTO GIVING YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFO.  THEY WILL NOT SUE YOU.  THEY'RE TRYING TO EXTORT MONEY OUT OF YOU.  THEY'RE THE CRIMINAL, NOT YOU.  Also, do you notice that all of these complaints are within the last month.  Sounds like they're a new scam syndicate or changed their names.  I want the FBI involved.

Me too.  same voice mails and three different telephone numbers call me.  I had an attorney call them back for me and they wouldn't even reveal the name of caller, their name  of business, or address.  I already sent a letter and got a response back from the State if Wisconsin Attorney General who suggested I send the same information to the State of Michigan's Attorney General which I am.  I wish these crooks would get a REAL JOB.  Freeloaders.

Who in the world makes "legitimate" legal calls making statements that criminal charges are being filed and to call back with a reference number? This is obviously some type scam.

They are pretending to be attorneys and are calling about Pay Day loans. Do not be scared by their collections tactics. They are 3rd party debt collectors and unless they read you the Mini Miranda which goes "This is an attempt to collect a debt, any information obtained will be used for that purpose" then they are in violation of the FDCPA. They can be sued by an attorney who knows what s/he is doing. Do NOT LET THEM SCARE YOU. They threaten to serve you summons at your job or home, and often times don't even have updated information. Tell them you are recording the call and see how fast they hang up, Save the voicemail messages they leave as proof, since a message is considered a communication, they are required to leave the mini miranda on that as well.

I will reply again as soon as I find out the name of this business. Then you can file a complaint with BBB, the attorney general in their state, and also write a letter of cease and desist which by FDCPA law they have to obey or they can be sued for actual damages. Debt collectors AND the agency can both be sued under the FDCPA. Google it. :) Also I will provide an address once I find it. Give me a week or so and check this thread again. Good luck to you.

Received several calls from this # stating that they were going to file a charge in my county because my name & social security number was linked with fraudulent activity. They do not say where they are calling from the give some type of refrence # to provide if you call back. They stated they were going to serve me at my work or residence & if I didn't call back I would forfeit my rights & a statement would be made for me on my behalf. I did not return the call & they continue to call. Will contact my lawyer to handle this.

I have recd 3 calls from them in a week and I have turned everything over to the Chandler Police Department.  I cannot believe they do this....I called the number late in the evening and a gentleman answered the phone and said he had no clue who called me, and I told him the Chandler Police would be the next to call him.  I cannot believe they just keep it up.  I called the number during the day hours and it is just a recording, still have not spoken to a human being!

called me at 7am since i dont live in MO anymore,  they claimed i had 2 accounts that they were coming after me for that they were going to issue a warrant for my arrest.  I recently paid off a bill similar to this one.  Now I think that one may have been a scam too. last month they called again and I told them that I was sure that that debt had been paid off.  And I would like their information.  They said that everything was fine and that I didnt need to pay anything.  That was on another phone number that they called me on.  Both times the lady who leaves the message sounds exactly the same.
