I got both the Wells Fargo scam text AND the socialcoupling.com in a 24-hour period. Like you, I've had this number for years and never get phishing texts.

Yeah, I just got this, too, and checked my card number and the number on the back. I'm kind of wondering if this is a trend. I also got a text from (415) 615-2433 yesterday saying something about posting new pictures to socialcoupling.com. When I googled it, I got the same kind of forum as this saying it was a fraud. I _never_ get phishing texts, and I've had this number for 8 years. I think someone farmed a common list. Not. Happy. :-(

Received text message from this number at 8:59AM today: "WELLS FARGO BANK ALERT: Your Debit/ATM card #42590 has been temporarily DEACTIVATED. Please call (415) 203-8748" I have no card of ANY kind with WF. Reported as phishing spam to ATT. If you are with ATT - forward these kinds of texts to 7726. They will block the number & trace the fraud!!!

I verified with Wells Fargo (800 number on back or ATM ) and this is definitely FRAUD! When you call the number, it ask you to activate or deactivate your card by pressing 1 or 2. However, other calls ask for you ATM number to be entered. DO NOT enter your number. You may even notice the numbers on the text are not the same as your card.

Wells Fargo Bank does NOT randomly request private information on the internet. Beware of message to contact them requesting your personal account pin codes and passwords. DO NOT ENTER PERSONAL INFORMATION.

"Spam what am" abusers attempting to rip off Identification and authorize unknown " Your Debit Card has been temporarily deactivated"...When called one is prompted to" enter 1 to activate the card or 2 end the call." They claim to be Wells Fargo bank. I don't have an account with Wells Fargo Bank! I will NOTIFY Wells Fargo Bank and the FBI.
