Harassing calling sayn i took out a loan and didn't pay it back. Sayn if I don't pay I will go to jail.

You can not go to jail for owing a debt. These people are scammers tying to get money out of people. Even if you owe nobody has the right to call and harrass you like that. Ask them to send you a debt validation letter on the debt and how much you owe. But don't give them any additional information on yourself. If they're calling you than they should know (right). If they say they can't do that they ask them for their address to write them one. Either way they have to reply 30 days from the date of the letter you maybe writing them about the debt. If they continue to call you tell you local enforcement (police) and report it. Also, write a letter to you Attorney General's Office. Tell them your reporting the number. They are not really numbers they're spooled, which means that they change the number all the time to keep from being caught and the locations are also fakes.

I just received a call from them.  Received a call from a similar company just a couple of days ago too (must be sharing the same call list).  Anyway, I always tell them that they should call my attorney.  I give them the name and number of the Attorney General for the State of PA (where I live).  I also inform them that they should send the "verification of debt" to this person.  They always end up hanging up on me before I get the full number out.

They don't leave a message or say anything..

People from this phone number hardly speak English and are constantly calling me at home sometimes at 5:00 AM in the morning telling me that I need to give them the name of my attorney as they are filing charges against me for fraud.  Now they are calling at my work as well.  When I ask what they want they hang up on me.

BNKY- I agree with you 100%. I have been getting these calls for about a year on and off. Your right, there is no debtors prison and 3rd party harrassing is illegal. I called my phone company and had the number calling me blocked about a couple months ago. Today on my caller id was 48989 and it was them again. Same man, but using different name. This time phone company couldn't block. I know these people are scammers like you do. However, there are older people who are vulnerable and scare easily and these people probably prey on them. They have to be stopped!

they keep calling my work and another to my cell about a us fast cash debt, TOTAL SCAM. I called US fast cash directly and they confirmed that this is a scam and i have no loan through my name social or address. they confirmed if you receive any call from people with indian accents saying you will go to jail for a debt its fraudulant. they refuse to fax any proof of past due accounts and said i need to pay them my account balance if i wanted any information. i emailed the information to my state attorney general. ALL THE POSTS THAT CLAIM THIS IS REAL ARE FAKE. Notice how they cant type correctly, they have a US area code # but caller id shows a weird overseas number they are calling from india so DO NOT RESPOND

Do not give them any additional information about yourself. It they claim you owe them than they should have everything on file (right).  See how much information you can get out of them. I'll bet they will get mad at you and hung up.  Like they did me.

I agree with bkny, you guys are crazy, your write broken english and speak it to. You are not from the United States, Please Buyer Beware, it goes for post such as this to.  Don't let these people think this is legimate its not. Contact a Consumer Lawyer they can assist you with things such as this. How about this ask for a debt validation letter of the debt you owe. Tell them you want it within 30 days, acually ask them for they're address and than you can write one to them asking for a reply within 30 days. See what they say better yet see what address they give you. Take care.

I absolutely agree with this post. I received calls from this number about a year ago and was directed to report the call to my local police department and was given a number at Homeland Security in the fraud department. I was told this number is one of many that is used by scammers in various countries to scare money out of the uninformed. I was also told this number appears to bounce off satellites. They will have your personal information because of a boolean hacking program that is available to hack into various websites. Some examples that were given to me were payday loan sites, refinancing sites and debt consolidation sites.

When I called this number a year ago, I asked the caller to spell his name - I think the last name was Jones or James. He could not spell it and became irate. I asked to speak to his supervisor with a last name of Smith. He could barely speak English and told me bad things would happen to me if I did not start sending them $200 every week. He said I owed several thousand dollars to a company that I had done business with about 7 years ago, which tells me they somehow got my credit report. I have since checked my credit report and found an inquiry from a company that could not be identified.

Beware and be advised! I was also advised that if I saw the number to NOT answer. The calls would stop as they are on an auto dial system. After a certain amount of time, the phone number will drop off the system.

Also, if you read Scott and Alice's post, the grammar, spelling and content is questionable at best.

Chris Barnes - you are a troll and one of the scammers - please people - if you are reading this do not believe the posts from chris, alice or scott.  Check the post by "this just in" under the number 425-905-7100 - it has alot of information about this scam.  And to chris, alice and scott - I will jeep monitoring this and other websites and continue to warn people about you and your scam - sooner or later you will be caught and sent back to whatever third world pit you crawled out of!

well even i was contacted by dem n i have settled my case wid mr Kevin shaw i guess he is d state investigating officer...n dey actually sent a investigation team at my doorstep den i agreed to make the payment ..even i did nt trust him bt he is a helpful person...i did a mistake of nt trusting him n he downloaded my case inside d court house after 2 days of notification calls ...so i have worked wid him n its well n gud as i have recvd d 11 paper hard copy also after making my payments....i really thank god dat i was out of dis legal mess ..seriously

BEWARE EVERYONE - Scott and Alice are probably part of this scam and are putting up fake posts to try to make people who check out this number think they are legitimate. If you get a call for this number do not give out any information or agree to anyhting until you are absolutly sure they are not scammers. Take a look at the wording of the posts - something is not right there. Protect yourself - know your rights!!!  I will bet you that if you do get a call it will from some middle eastern person - with an americanized name - like "Kevin" and they will be telling you that you owe on some debt - or a payday loan.  They have stolen your infomation and are trying to scam you - these stories are all over the internet.  They will say things like "call them the minute you get the message or may god help you as the situation unfolds around you." They will say you are about to be arrested and will go to jail for fraud, cyber crime, deception or some other ridiculous charges. You do not go to jial in the US for debt - there had not been a debtors prison in the US since the civil war! There have even been cases where they claim to be working for the government - the govenment and FBI do not investigate debts!!! I have gotten calls like this since I applied for a payday loan once - but never took because of the harsh terms - but now I get these calls every couple of months.  Good luck and post any calls you get on this and other sites - with the names they use to try to help others who may get these calls. Report any calls to your state attorney general and www.ic3.gov.

I ws even doubting them but as they stated their License ID's I ws satisfied. Kevin helped me solve my case
