Your son gave them access to your computer?
Oh, oh!

The contact list was probably stolen, all virus defense disabled, any financial / credit card info stolen, and very bad malware was installed.

Strongly suggest you quickly monitor your credit rating, protect your identity; and take your computer to a local, reputable computer repair shop, and tell them what happened ... really!

Telemarketer
Company claiming to be Windows spoke to my son who allowed them to remote into my computer.  I called them back, firmly explained they were wrong to speak to a minor and asked to be removed from their calling list.

Received a call from a man with a thick India sounding accent who claimed he was from Microsoft and was calling from California.  He told me I had an error in my computer and then asked me to turn my computer on.  I told him he was not getting into my computer and then I asked him for a phone # that I could reach him at.  It took him awhile to come up with the number which he asked someone else for but then gave me the above number.  Right before he hung up, another person with an Indian accent came on the phone to verify that they were both with Microsoft.  I hung up.  And never called back.

DO NOT SHARE ANY INFO-I was called by someone who called himself Peter sporting a very thick India-like accent claiming to be from Windows tech support.  I believe he was trying to get access to the computer to do a ransomware type of malware.

Very suspicious activity but certainly NOT Windows technical support!!!!
