I got similar call. When I called back and told them I just spoke to the IRS and my account is fine, they hung up  this is a scam. Ignore the call or block it if your phone can do that

Definitely a Scam!! I got a call from this number at work stating the same information as Mermaid36 was told. The funny thing is that the call came to my work number. The man with horribly broken english asks to speak to "John Smith" for example. It is funny because I work for a very large corporation that happens to be the first and last name of the person that started the corporation and has been dead for many years, so there is the first red flag amongst many. I also get calls saying that we "the company" are available for a small business loan!! LOL!! Beware none the less, if you ever get calls from third party collectors, go directly to the source first. In other words, tax collecter, contact IRS direct, etc.                          

SCAM !!!!!!!! The phone number 415-230-2832 also left me a message on Friday stating he was from the IRS and even gave me a Reference ID#.  So I called the IRS to check what was up with my account, and they stated that NOTHING was wrong with my account, and I DO NOT OWE them a penny.  IRS stated to NEVER EVER give your information out over the phone, and they DO NOT practice those harassing methods.  This is a SCAM !!!!!!  and anyways all I ever heard from this number was a busy tone.  Don't give this number a second thought.
